Your must have Pedals..

Decimator
OD1X
Tone Ripper(Wayne's amazeballs version of a BE OD)
EQ pedal(presently the cheap but awesome vintage Danelectro Fish n Chips)

I get it though, with vintage amps....it's very difficult to find a pedal that doesn't 'take away' from the tone. Only 1 actually worked ok with the last vintage twin I had...the eq pedal.
In ten years I've only ever tried a blue note through mine

Griff is supposed to make me a modded Gladio soon.

The blue note sounds real good. The 57 classic bridge into blue note into Twin SMOKES. It smokes without the blue note but I get a little extra gain/sustain which makes solos easier. The Tung-Sol 6L6GC-STR are my new tube recommendation. Punchy and powerful.

If I only had to have one, I would have to go with a delay, as my amp has everything else I really need.

In my case, I really am into my Strymon Timeline after trying all sorts over the years.

Most of the time I play, I don't have any pedals engaged whatsoever tbh.

If I had to choose something other than modulation - it would be a toss up between my Griffin Analog TOK or his RAT variant.

I can cover a lot of gain territory with either one of those pedals into a completely clean amp.

wait till you get your Hatter's OD .......

I want a clean clean clean amp. And I want distortion from the amp.
Pedals in between are gonna be something like a Tubescreamer.
I love a good chorus and have settled on the Analogman.
Some delay.
Reverb usually from the amp.

SD1 or Maxon 808 with gain very low to tighten things up.
Any type of delay in the loop for thicker leads.

I don't use many pedals; it's either no pedals, an EQ pedal or a full-on MFX in 4CM.

Which means my must have pedals are:

None.
Source Audio EQ2.
Boss GX-100 (which recently replaced my Line 6 HX-Effects, which I still have and plan to keep).

I love chorus on cleans.
I hate reverb. Always.

edit: I got my GX-100 on sale, but just looked and there's now a $100 price drop, it's $499.99. While it's a digital modeler, I use it for effects only with my tube amps with a loop. Integrated expression pedal, and touchscreen makes it even easier. Has almost every Boss effect, and more; and they sound good IMO. If I purchased all the Boss pedals that I use in my GX100, it would cost around $1200, without the board, case, power supply, cables,...

My Brother has a GX100. He really likes it. Told me he uses it all the time.
My experience with it is very limited.

:love:Just noticed this. Didn't know you had a JAMES TYLER. The boots are built into the circuitry on a lot of those apparently. Not sure how that works but I wonder if they make a low heel square toe with a schmear finish.
Nah, not only do I NOT have one, I've never even seen one in the wild. Lol

I figured you were on the west coast so you'd have at least seen one or two, if not have player-friends that have them. I've only seen one here but there are a lot of Californians in TX these days and he is a killer player from LA, and a great dude btw. Can't say I blame you for not having one since you can basically afford a vacation shack in Mississippi for what they cost. I'd probably opt for the shack myself if I had that kind of $$$

Tuner, boost, reverb and delay

Currently supa boost or Chiron, hall of fame, and echo plex
