This arrived today. Metro 100 watt 1959 Super Lead kit. I opted for the Mercury Magnetics transformers. I went with the O100JM-S, 2" stack output tranny and the regular Mercury power tranny that comes with the kit. Sozo caps and all that other good stuff. Here's a teaser while I finish uploading the rest of the photos from today:

Good luck dude! I'll be checking in periodically.

Great choice on the kit. I have always wanted to this, you are a braver man than I am.

Hope you don't loose too much hair putting it together. :)

Looking forward to the reports

Too Cool Dude  , I have always wanted to do that, I will keep my eyes AND ears open for the progress, please show plenty of pics of the progress, and you other dudes, its a little early for clips,,I would not expect those until tomorrow!!

These suckers are like twice the size of the regular trannies. So I had make new mounting holes in the chassis. That was a pain in the ass...

Man, they just look sexy!!! Can't wait to see this amp come together.

Nice  I've been thinking about doing one of these lately. Boredom from being laid off :(

I'm in. Should be cool to watch.

I'd like to think I have the skills to do something like that. It's the patience I might be lacking...

Great stuff, looking forward to watching the progress
those red MM's are really sexy :inlove: :inlove:

Outstanding! You doing any tweaks along the way, like cascading, or you just doing a normal build?

Cool stuff!!!!

I've been thinking about their JTM45 kit.

Love watching builds.

I will be building it to stock 1959 spec. with 100k feedback on the 4ohm tap. After the amp is broken in (probably around 75 hours) I'll throw a .68 cap for the presence and a .68 for v2 also change both caps out of v1 to .022. And I'll probably cut the bright cap. Then maybe a PPIMV or play around with cascading gain. But, I'll probably have see how it sounds first.

I couldn't wait for the amp to break in before installing a PPIMV. Those things are ungodly loud
