Like new basically. No dings, barely used. I tried, but couldn't wrap my head around the 7 strings. This is a great playing, great looking guitar, with a great setup. Out of the bag ready to rock. Will ship in the original shipping box from Strandberg.
$1700 shipped (continental US)
You really can't win. Everyone wants to hear a raw guitar sound, no processing, but no one actually likes a raw guitar sound. EVERY guitar sound on every good sounding record is affected in the recording or mix. If you talk to famous mixers from 70's, 80's, 90's, etc. there's always something...
I almost never use IR's. VERY VERY VERY rarely. It's almost always a Bogner 4x12 with a v30 Sm57, Royer 121.
More recently, it's been a v30 with SM57, and a Greenback with SM57.
I just got a killer Marshall cab that I like better than the Bogner cab, so that will be v30 with SM57, and a...
Hey guys. Thanks for watching!!!
I wish I had been more diligent about documenting the exact settings. But I was experimenting a lot. I did capture the tones on the Kemper and put them in my Marshall and Lee Jackson packs... so, I kinda saved them :)
That Yamaha Symphonic patch is a pretty...
Hi Bronco, Thanks for watching my vids! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pli16hvaO74
I LOVE that Empire record. All of the tones guitar, bass, drums, vocals, are SO clear and balanced. From everything I've found out about Empire, they used their racks for the recording of the album. They...
The CAE 3+ is Countdown to Extinction. I think there may have been a BBE in there too, or just lots of EQ. But that album is screaming CAE. I don't think you can get a Rust in Piece sound out of a 3+.
I agree with you on all points! Both are strange sounding records by todays standards, BUT, it works SO well for the music, I can't really separate the music from the production. They were both produced and mixed by Mike Clink. He leaned heavily on a Roland SRV-2000 for GNR. I'd...
Ah yes! LOVE LOVE LOVE this album.
Guitars: I think are Jackson's with JB's in the bridge. Dave seemed pretty hard core about Marty switching to Jackson's when he joined the band.
Amps: RHYTHMS: The rumors are the they used Bogner preamps for this album. I don't think it was the Bogner...
OH! Believe me, my singing is BAD! The singing is meant to be like an outline, so that you are phrasing musically, and you're hitting notes that follow the chords.
Try this as an exercise. Pull up a track, or create a track. Then instead of shredding over it, sing a solo into a mic. Complete with bends and harmonics, and speedy runs. A complete solo from beginning to end.
Then, go back through and learn how to play the solo you created. It'll really...
