That was kind of nasty, lol! "inflict as much pain on American citizens as possible". Really!?! I don't think any Americans wish harm on Canadians. Even Trudeau, lol. A lot of us sent money to the truckers and farmers cause! Such a shame. If we had actual free trade with no tariffs, and maybe a joint visa, we could have an economic powerhouse. Instead politics are going to leave no real winners. Canadian leadership knows Trump ran on border security as a mandate. Seems it would be easier to just add troops to a border, rather than sever military and economic ties. Canadian leadership could have struck some kind of deal with Trump, everyone knows he's all about the deal. TDS? :confused:

Is this really how most Canadians feel?

Why does Canada have to make a deal the that POS. Why play his game. Set your own terms of engagement and hit back hard against the bastard.

I haven't been around because I hate the current insularity. Attacking us and Canada - fuck the lot of you. Stufing the stock market up with his drivel.

Stuff pandering and kowtowing to the turds of the earth. Kick them out of Pine Gap and and send the US ambassador home.

Riding - well it's been absolutely wet for about a month and the time I did ride I ran over either a pot hole or half a brick or something and cracked the back rim. $2800 to get a new rim from Germany and disc and abs sensor. I went through insurance and they still haven't approved the claim and it's been 10 days... Then the parts can't be ordered (over two weeks from Germany) by the dealer until the claim is approved even if I offer to pay in advance. So frustrating.

At least I stil have the Harley to ride.

It is an American motorcycle - so it needs to be sent back!!! That's even worse than the Harley DEI scandal these days!!! :p What's worse than DEI... buying from our newly minted enemies from America. Down with the USSA (not a typo - Dosvedanya komrade). Well actually you are wrong. I don't mind his domestic policies - I'm conservative - it's his foreign policies and turning your friends into enemies I hate. How dare you attack the friends that have stood by you for over a century. We don't even impose tariffs on the US and the US has a trade surplus with us - yet you are even attacking us. Meanwhile my superannuation balance is taking a hit from his volatile and unpredictable foreign policies.

So you've brought this on yourselves. Not TDS as such at all because I'm not a lefty.

He wanted stronger border security along both our borders, which he ran on. The current Canadian leadership decided that wasn't acceptable. He wants domestic manufacturing to come back to the US, and the only way to do that is by making US products competitive with foreign products. I don't like causing turmoil with our allies, but reciprocal trade agreements seem fair. The US is the largest market to sell goods in.

We have provided complete military protection for the entire western world and trade routes for the last 70 years. If China tried to invade Australia, you don't think it would be game on with the US as well? China knows that. If it came to a vote, I would vote for no tariffs on Australia or Canada, but I'm not in charge. I would also expect no tariffs from those countries as well though.

We have still sent out military to all of your conflicts. So it cuts both ways. We don't send a force the size of yours because our population is the size of Floridas. I don't think the US has sent any troops to our conflicts because we haven't started one. We sent troops to East Timor against Indonesia and I don't believe the US sent any troops - although I'm not sure we needed it. WW2 in the pacific doesn't really count because again that was your conflict even if it was ours as well. The US only entered that conflict due to Pearl Harbor so it's not coming to aide unrequested is it. And we sent our own troops to Papua New Guinea anyway to fight the Japs.

Anyway you know border security with Canada is a complete smokescreen. Trump is trying to grab Canada and Greenland like a complete Putinesque USSA wannabe. I'd honestly fight against the US if Canada asked me to come. I'm that irritated by it. I hope it draws in Australia, NZ and the UK.

come on man. The only way any provinces have any chance of becoming part of the US is if the people there vote for it. Same with Greenland. Either we pay Denmark some crazy amount of money for it, or the people vote for it themselves. The US is never going to invade Canada or Greenland. You can't really believe that. :LOL:
