This fellow seems pretty on the ball:

Eh, not really
Singapore has a negative view of the situation because we are now charging them what they have charged us for decades?
It’s funny to hear all the affected countries talk about trump “destroying free trade” (him included) when it was never free on our side.
In all fairness, I have no problem with any country setting those policies and doing what’s best for them, I do have a problem when we decide to do the exact same thing and then they start talking about how unfair it all is and start acting like we have no business whatsoever doing the exact thing that has been done to us for 40+ years.
Things are gonna be tite for a bit and there will be some teething pains but the US industrial base and manufacturing has been hollowed out over the years and we have to make some changes. The world will have to make changes too. I’ve heard politicians talk about china eating our lunch with the trade policies for decades and none of them ever did anything but talk. Like trump or hate him, you gotta admit he at least had the balls to put it all on the line and swing for the fences to do what he thinks is best for our country.
He is not a talk shit and do nothing but talk guy.
We cannot keep things on their current path, we will go bankrupt, the only plan anyone else had was to keep on the current path and fleece the taxpayers till it all comes down..
If trump brings it all down, I’d rather go down this way than to keep repeating the same tired shit that got us here in the first place.
The rest of the world is gonna have to make changes, might as well start figuring out how to work that out rather than pretend we had free trade and act surprised when we finally have had enough with pretending it was free with them.
We are done with that shit. Dam the torpedoes, full speed ahead…

Another entitled little foreign snot bag. I have said it a dozen times in the last week. These people are angry we no longer allow them to have their hands in our cookie jar for free anymore. Even some of our own citizens are as entitlement minded and greedy as that guy is. It's like listening to thieves cry that they aren't allowed to steal at will anymore.

If I had gotten in on Newsmax going open for public trading at 14 dollars a share, then hitting 833.00 by the next day I could have made out like a bandit! 🤣

When you listen to him use terms like “abandoning past norms” you can tell that they are so used to things being like they always have been that it seems they don’t realize the extent to which “past norms” were always us letting other countries build themselves up on the tariff profits they charged us for decades. Even he said they knew changes should have been made but didn’t say what changes or to what extent.
With Singapore charging us 10% tariffs I am a bit curious to know what he thought those changes should have been (?)

Listen, I get it..
Everyone else thinks this sux and it probably does for them. If Trump forces a realignment
in world trade policies that puts us back on a path to bringing back manufacturing and industry to the US then he will have done what everybody said could never be done.
If he fails we likely won’t be any worse off than we would be in 5 more years on the past chosen path that has ruined industry, crushed the middle class and put us in a place where the dollar is perilously close to loosing status as the world reserve currency.
I’ll take this against that any day

Vietnam, EU, now Taiwan. Trump tariffs keep winning...
