That's how every political, scientific, archaeological, and religious topics is though.I think at this point, there is nothing that can be said or shown to anyone who thinks the earth is flat that will change their mind

There's only two kinds of people in this world, my man..I do think that is where the divide is
Evidence of the curvature of the earth is present at ground level my man. Seeing the actual curve isn't the only proof. It's difficult to even see the horizon. If it was curved I would want to make sure it wasn't an optical effect of the window glass. Regardless, even those that believe in ball earth acknowledge that you can't see the curve until something like 60,000 feet.

Really? Like what? I think that the Earth's apparent flatness is a good argument that it is actually flat.Evidence of the curvature of the earth is present at ground level my man.
Flat earthers say the same, respectively.I think at this point, there is nothing that can be said or shown to anyone who thinks the earth is flat that will change their mind

Ahh I didn't think you were necessarily saying about FE'rs specifically. Regardless I am sure they would disagree, at least those that are secular. Regarding political views I don't see how that would necessarily bias one's view of the earth. But as mentioned before, their reasoning is political or religious and not scientific.

There are plenty of conspiracy minded people that think it's ridiculous. As for motivation, I think your mind has to be at least open enough to believe that authorities are lying, but I don't think it's fair to suggest that the "motivation" isn't scientific. FE'rs argue the same regarding irrefutable proofs and evidence. They think it’s a cover up. That’s the motivation.
There has yet to be a single piece of irrefutable scientific evidence for the earth being flat, meanwhile there is a near infinite amount proving that it’s round

In what sense would you consider their arguments conjecture? ... nothing is fully known in science. They argue all they want, the problem is they’ve never shown anything as proof that wasn’t just conjecture
