This guy saved his home while all of his neighbors burned. He didn't see one firetruck................

There are a couple of Altadena home owners who did the same as this genteman who saved a few houses.

What if the homeowners stuck around to hose their house & watered down the burning embers within their perimeter.

Because people thought after they passed the Fire Protection propositions in 2014 and later that the SYSTEM had implemented it building reservoirs and would actually perform the function that the government is elected to do. What they got ten years later was burned down houses and excuses of why the itemized sections passed by the taxpayers was not implemented and why the firefighters didn't have water during FIRE season, which California has dealt with since LA and California was settled.

SO WHERE DID ALL THE TAXPAYER MONEY GO? Maybe Scamen Newsom can find it and which pockets it went into.......

Thank you for posting this. It's definitely something that comedians should be weighing in on. And certainly a situation where we should find humor. If we can't make fun of people's personal tragedy...then what can we laugh at? Great work.
To be fair, he did bring up a valid point about the insurance companies. I mean, they collect your fees for years, during all those years when fire danger was also a threat. Then suddenly they decide 'nah, this is getting too risky for us, we'll end your insurance one-sided' and still keep those fees. The VERY LEAST thing they could (and should!) do, is repay your fees from those years.

Don't you find it interesting that the insurance companies pulled out in an area where the homes where worth millions to tens of millions of dollars leaving the state to underinsure those homeowners left with no alternative after collecting decades of paid premiums from homeowners. Newsom is already calling for a total Federal bailout putting the cost's on all of the US taxpayers.

It has not gone unnoticed that there hasn't been much rebuilding if any in Lahaina Hawaii since their fires........from what I gather the state and local governments are dragging their feet issuing permits and the imposing new draconian construction requirements making it almost impossible for the average person to rebuild. I wonder if we will see the same thing with LA and the Pacific Palisades and other California areas??????:dunno:

There is absolutely no reason that this was done...monumental carelessness and stupid on all fronts. And believe me, they were warned.
There is a huge difference between a true natural disaster and governmental malfeasance in dealing with that natural disaster.............

Where are the calls for a Federal Bailout Hurricane effects on the people of Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina because they did not have flood insurance because they did not live in a known FLOOD Zone due to a freak amount of rain from the Hurricane system that far inland.

They want it ready to debut for the 2028 olympics.
I guess if you let it all burn down then you have a clean slate to rebuid it as the PTB wish to impose on the populace through new regulations. Even if people monetarily rebuild it will be impossible for them to obtain fire insurance from a private company.

I could be wrong but I fear most out of frustration will just sell an leave with whatever money they can get then the land speculators can buy up properties for pennies on the dollar since the land is unimproved without multimillion dollars homes on them. They are already saying housing prices are going to go even higher in California because of these fires.

Apparently rents are already on the rise in L.A thanks to the fires.

I think Austin and Dallas will have some additional Californians this year. They'll probably burn out TX next. If you look at the UN development plan for this area they intend on keeping all the housing along I-35 and re-wilding outlying areas.
