Thank you for posting this. It's definitely something that comedians should be weighing in on. And certainly a situation where we should find humor. If we can't make fun of people's personal tragedy...then what can we laugh at? Great work.
Exactly where did he make fun of anyone's personal tragedy?

Apparently rents are already on the rise in L.A thanks to the fires.

I think Austin and Dallas will have some additional Californians this year. They'll probably burn out TX next. If you look at the UN development plan for this area they intend on keeping all the housing along I-35 and re-wilding outlying areas.

So, wait. The UN burned down LA to protect biodiversity and...do the Olympics? Man. Look out Alex Jones, he's got some competition.

The elite want to own the premium areas for themselves, pretty simple. If this was the wild west you'd be the dumb brave in the tipi telling the chief he was fulla shit for saying the white man was gonna take all the best land. First they do it to the indians, then everyone else.

So the millionaires in the mansions that burned aren't "the elite"?

I think it may be time for you to consider not taking shots at people who's lives were just destroyed. You're uninformed about what actually transpired in this community and what events led up to this tragedy. That much is clear. That is also understandable and certainly forgivable, but your drifting into deplorable territory now. If you are a bad person outright, keep it up and prove it to yourself and all of us. If not, I suggest quitting now.

I haven't taken a shot at anyone.

Listen to what his guy say about Hurricane Helene victims, if the homeowners take FEMA assistance they can only repair up to 50% of the homes market value, anything spent by the homeowner above that then they have to demo the house and rebuild to current codes or they will not issue permits. Is this how the GOV is going to handle the Cali fire victims as well???

Not completely true. You can only repair up to 50% of what THEY (FEMA) determine the value is. They assign lowball values, so you are forced to hire a private appraiser to get a more realistic value, at which point you are likely approved. And IIRC they don't necessarily demo the house if repairs exceed 50%, the owner will be required to put it up on concrete piers, which is up to date building code for a new home in FL. Since that costs 150-200k many homes would see a wrecking ball.

My sister just got approval for the rebuild after getting crapped on by FEMA's estimate. She had to hire a private appraiser. I believe the 50% damage amount also applies to people remodeling prior to all these storms. If you spent more than 40 or 50 percent on the remodel, it had to go on piers. I'd love to buy rural FL land and put a place up but the building codes are a maze and many of the inspectors do not even agree on the qualifications for an inspectable item. The end result of all that bullshit is people buy land and throw trailers on them instead of build, which avoids the entire red tape headache, yet trailers are even more storm damage prone, which defeats the entire purpose. Bureaucracy is like institutionalized idiocy.
