    Modelers suck

I've had everything over the years, and it's many years as I am almost 66. I've had all kinds of guitars and amps since the 60's. early 60'sAmpegs, Marshall Major, Fender Twin, Fender Super Twin, Earth G2000, Sound City, Traynor, Peavey, Crate, a few more I forget. I used modellers with frfr's...

    Famous musicians you've met

I met all of Heart, in Central Park, they had some kind of free practice gig at the band shell, totally unknown, because just a few people were there who were just passing by, same for me...I just happened to be walking by. I knew they were "someone" but this was right before they got real big...

    My First Clip in Like...Forever

Sounds really good, the very beginning sounded like Boston, I was waiting for some highly layered and chorused, harmonized leads, and then all we got was some great straight ahead playing. Really nice.

    Anyone recording with tape emulation?

Not bashing anything anyone else wants to do...but I'm too old to try to sound old, and did that for too long already....I have stuff on 3 1/2" reels from when I was a kid (before cassettes). That how enough wow and flutter and hiss for a lifetime, I don't miss any of that stuff!

POLL & Discussion - How Old are Ya Guys?

65, almost 66. Been playing since I was 10, in bands since 13....although not lately because I have bad arthritis in my fretting hand, so I can't be depended on everyday. But I play and "try" to record whenever I can. Bottom line, I get along better with everyone when I am alone😉

    80s lawsuit era Les Pauls

I I appreciate that info, now I have a reputable place to look for one, I've been thinking of buying a Japanese guitar lately and was always afraid because of the shipping distance, etc.

    Recommend a cheap modeling combo

I used the 50 for about 3 years, always loved it. An Artist popped up cheap and local...so I grabbed it. The Artist sounds better, but mostly because of the speaker IMHO, it is also insanely loud, the 50 is also loud for it's size for sure. he advantage to the artist is that you can use a GAFC...

"Well, it's finally time.... Selling my beloved amp". Really?!

To be honest, I don't care about the stories....If I see what I want and the price is right....then I'm interested. I deal with nice people, stupid people, annoying people, whatever people. I do my research, I know a lot about things from years of buying selling experience. The best ones are the...

    Is this heavy enough??

I'd say heavy...yeah...heavy. But more importantly, I'd say sounds really good.

Why do people rave about GNR gigs nowadays?

I always liked GNR BUT always hated Mr. Rose. I never thought he sounded good, but I'm an older guy to be fair. I enjoyed a lot of Slash's stuff since he left the band though.

    Recommend a cheap modeling combo

Boss Katana 50mkII, great grab and go lightweight amp. Boss Katana Artist is great, and still relatively small and light too. I have both.

    The new Beatles song..

I grew up with and LOVED The Beatles, this new thing sucks. It's almost as bad as the earlier stuff they did after John Lennon died using his old cassette tapes and out of tune singing. Truly bad all around.....
