Have you tried them? That’s my only challenge to you.
I have tried only 6 Dimarzio models so there may be some that pass muster but being disappointed each time has me looking elsewhere. I’m glad I did.
The only pickups I suggest these days are Lollar, Throbak and more recently Bare Knuckle...
I couldn’t possibly, I am not affected by the Swimmer’s Body Illusion. I use what sounds good to me, not what someone tells me to use.
I don’t really know most of those people. But it’s still irrelevant.
Not until you try Lollar or Bare Knuckle. I mean without preconceived notions or being...
I said “steps” not “leagues” as in barely but still better quality. Personally, I’ve been disappointed with Dimarzio 100% of the time.
I just knew someone would say that. None of those guys are known for their quality of tone.
Try some Lollars and get back to me.
I am also in the anything other than Dimarzio camp. I mean they’re usually better than stock overseas pickups. SD is 4 or 5 steps above and then when you move into boutique (Lollar and Bare Knuckle, et al.) you can’t look back.
Just my personal opinion based on experience.
Pickup good. Me like. 😄
Mucho clarity. But it crushes V1. More and better gain than the Dimarzio.
I’ve got to adjust the height a bit as the low E and A are a bit boomer than the others. I’m going to mess with the screw heads, too.
I use both the NS-2 and NS-1X with the amp’s preamp in their loop. Guitar to NS input, NS Send to amp’s input, amp’s effects loop Send to NS Return, NS Output to amp’s effects loop Return.
If you’re also experimenting between the two, notice that the jacks are flipped between the two pedals...
Was the difference that profound when you ran it at 18v? I have tried pedals that can run at 9 and 18 volts and the difference always seemed negligible.
I’m not doubting, just wondering what I’m missing or if I’m wrong about it.
