Very recently bought half a business .... much more cash going out than coming in right now. Time just is not right for me. Pray your health problems get better.

No worries on not being able to make a deal on the amp. I was just throwing it out there. Congrats on the new business. Best of luck on that. Thanks for the well-wishing. I'm working hard to get past it.

To the both of you - first things first. Tom, get better and get better quickly... Stephen, focus on the flow of that business, everything else will sort itself out.

Peace Gents,
Mo

Like Mo'pheus aka Ace 'Ventura', I ordered up some Gold Lion KT77's for the Ecstasy...should be here tomorrow. I'll post my thoughts in a new thread once I've had some time with them.

KEEN!!!

What are you all dialing in for high gain, but WARM, modern metal tones?

Me:

Red channel
Modern
Full power
Class A/B
Loose excursion
B2 brightness
Presence: 2 o'clock
Treble: 3 o'clock
Mid: Noon
Bass: 2 o'clock
No boost

Feckin' ROARS with all the grind of an Alice in Chains record. It doesn't get surgically tight, but I don't want it to: that's what Diezels are for :D

Refresh my memory, you've got the 6L6 happening??

It really is an outrageous amp. I think I've spent more time on the BLUE channel dialing in aggro tones and those kerrangy hot-rod-mod tones more than any other amp. The RED is simple - I go there, I nod my head in approval KNOWING that whatever's HAPPENING on that channel, it is ALL GOOD. I need not worry. It requires no time for me to go where I want to go on the RED channel. RED is good. But the BLUE's got all this terrain to it... Hi-gain, boost, mids cranked, presence noon, bass 10 o'clock, depth 10 o'clock, etc. HOT. Oh ya, and part of that HOT is Class A all the way.

Ah, my desert island amp.

Glad you're loving it.

Yup, 6L6 in da house.

I know what you mean about the blue channel. It's got such a ridiculous range. I'm loving it at the moment on mid gain, everything at noon, treble at 2 o'clock with a bit of fuzz in front. Serious vintage toanz.

Still lovin' it... Absolutely outrageous amp - period :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

Off the feckin' WALL outrageous!
Honeymoon or real love Bro?
Real Luv
Well I knew YOU were an LT'er (long timer). But I'm wondering how Spirit's coming along with his rig... He's a 6L6'er, gotta watch them kind you know

So, looks like the Axe-II is collecting a fair bit of dust as of late... So it goes. 1's and 0's don't really match a hot quad of 77s :D

And while we still and patiently wait for Mo`s clips -which he hopefully will show us before he sells the amp- as following some quite fantastic sounding clips:

I think he is just a collector   :poke:

Bastids!!!

However, duly accepted as I am a lame ass when it comes to clips. 100% agree, AND apologize. Thank you everyonesdarling for taking the lead here... And as for selling it, no dice. Am I collector? Maybe. But I do play 'er and I love playing 'er. I was playing the Hagen tonight - it's just a fact of life.

Collector... The nerve!!

Peace Gents,
Mo

Clips? Just do it..

My wife, being the uber kewl rock and roll chic, was giving me the biz about doing better recordings. So I got a little Presonus unit. Should be another thing to sink money into.

The camcorder vids just don't capture the size of the sound, but you get a taste of the vibe.

Whatcha using for 'verb and delay?? Sounded nice in various parts of that clip... Very cool, and hey, is that at Tyler Burning Water you've got there?? Nicely executed clips - you nailed a variety of top tones this amp can manage...
