In the older days all things were done taking morals and logic into account fully whereas today, most things are about what an individual wants with very little regard for others AND the impact on the society they live in. Fuck morals and fuck impact, I want what I want because I deserve it and I'm entitled to it. Television and movies shove this down people's throats all day every day..............me, me me, me, me.

Right on man. I appreciate the thoughtful response.

I personally don’t feel anything is being shoved down my throat, but I accept that you do. For me, the difference is that the “me me me” people are doing so to gain their own rights, or what they think is fair. Gay people wanted marriage rights, trans people want to have their surgeries, women impregnated from rape may want to have an abortion. They are fighting for themselves, while “the other side” is fighting against them. If we just let gay people be gay, and trans people trans, etc, we probably wouldn’t even hear from them anymore than anyone else.

You may not like men thinking they are becoming women, you may think it is stupid and gross, but unless someone is trying to turn you in to a woman; them doing it doesn’t affect you.

If you think them doing it is part of some larger political agenda, then I think more effort should be put in to separating the people from the politics.
Liberals may very well be exploiting these people, but that doesn’t mean that people should also be against the ones being exploited. They would want the same things regardless of politics. That to me is acceptance.
