Big iron sounds amazing, and there's not a stage I play on that I can get it to the volume needed to make that sound lol. 20-watters have more than enough headroom for every gig I play, but I don't play metal and I know there's a difference.I actually think for live use these 20 watt amps are probabaly just right for a lot of stages with volume concerns. Also the Grab n Go factor is high. It wouldn’t cut it at an old school, practice room session and a nard hitting drummer though. I love 100 watters. It’s just ingrained in me that those are what I want, or need but in the last few years I just don’t need them being a home player now. But I still have a couple and the PS2 treats them right. But I really dig my Orange Brent Hinds, Marshall Origin 20H and the two multi power, 30 watt Boogies as well that rip on lower power settings. But I still would buy a 100 watter, if it has the sound I want. Big Iron will always have it’s place in rock n roll.
