bought the halfstack....came with a 4x12 with ev12l's........I boosted it with an ibanez tone lock distortion pedal. I split both amps with a boss dd-5. 2nd amp had the tiniest bit of delay. sounded like a wall of amps. crazy.

Only because I knew that I wasn't going to be in a "metal" band again.
It was not without a little regret. But, overall, it was the correct decision.
I totally get it . The Satan sounds unique compared to my others . What did you think of it

The Randall Satan was a Fortin designed circuit...Correct?

Cameron and Hermansson.
There's been several mentions of Hermansson in this thread. I'm currently in line to have him mod my DR Multiwatt...but I keep going back and forth on if I really want to spend that kind of money shipping a head overseas for a mod. His clips sound really fucking cool!

To each their own but I would never mod a MW Rectifier, especially if it cost money to do so lol, let alone shipping cost.

IMO the entire 5150 line of amps. Starting from the OG Peavey to the newest stealth versions and everything in between.

Sure there are lots of stuff out there that brings something unique to the table but is it really “better”. I don’t feel that way and I’ve owned Wizard, Bogner , Fryette, Friedman, Soldano, etc etc etc,
This. When I think “metal” amp, I immediately think of the OG 5150’s. I think it’s hard to beat that amp for a straight up metal tone.

The MW is my first Rectifier and honestly I'm not in love, but yeah it has good resale value so putting more money into it is a tough decision. Not sure why you LOL at spending money on a mod though - not everyone can mod their own amps.

My current rev c mesa dual rectifier. I also fell in love with the vht ul / clx - which is why i opted for the gp3 - 2/50/2 setup i just acquired. The gp3 has everything i remember about the ul / clx and I now have a better idea on how to dial it in a little better due to the owners manual and a little trial and error. Still tweaking, but super happy thus far.

Purple Light Studios in Brooklyn NY had Scott Ian’s old modded marshall jubillee - this is according to Mike Barile who owned the studio. It was the single best marshall ive ever played and had tons of low end and gain.

I also have a soft spot for the diezel herbert.
