Sorry, Im a little late to this blog, I was busy with Jerry Cantrell yesterday. He was at Tone Merchants signing the first ONE HUNDRED head boxes of his signature amp that we are now starting production on.

But after seeing and hearing the Fire Bolt video, I think Im gonna call Dave Friedman and Jerry Cantrell today and recommend that we just throw in the towel, shut down the amp line and resign to the fact that Dave and I cant compete with what Billy Blades is doing. I guess Im gonna have to resign to the fact that Dave and I had our 15 minutes and now its Billys turn. I mean the cup holder, gold knobs, fire bolts and for peeks sake Mark Slaughter? Im afraid the sleeping giant of Billy Blades has been awakened and world domination is only weeks away.

Im calling Dave now, he needs to finish Joe Bonamassa's rig and I need to call the 300 people that have Friedman's on order and tell them that Im hoisting the white flag surrender.

Well, let's not just go totally overboard here.

haha i was mostly joking. But in my opinion, the sound I'm hearing in those videos of Blades' are more in line with my tastes. They are a little more aggressive and mean than the stuff I've heard from Friedman's amps—which on a whole, sound smoother to me. I was really poking fun at Dan.

I would get rig of the cup holder pronto! Not because it looks bad, but because it is extremely unsafe! Condensation can accumulate around the holder, and drip down into the amp. Conductive liquids have no business near a high-voltage/high-current drawing device like this.
