These look fantastic!

I would go with the "Rhoads" style Firebolt...

Dude, calm down, Morosini's already landed the Southeastern regional sales rep position.

What's Blades offering though...50% commission if you can pump and dump one of these badboys?

You know, you sound like a genuine badass... How would you like the opportunity to call me a f#ck head in-person?

At this point, with you trying to burn me for 3 grand on some piece of shit Cornford, you have it coming.

And here's to you being Blades first customer. I hope you fucking fry yourself

I don't recall ever trying to "burn" you on anything, nor do I recall ever owning a "piece of shit" Cornford amp? Like I said, If you would like to resolve your problem in-person, just let me know.

Backstory-
The dude tries to sell me an amp that he's been reflowing the solder in, taking it apart who knows how many times till eventually the amp starts coming up with all kinds of "puffing" noises and channel switching pops and who knows what else. The only way I found out is I stumbled upon one of his multiple identities he has on one of these forums and caught him talking about it.

The only good thing about the deal is when I called him on it he did refund my money. Still pissed though when I think about it.

*edit - here's just a couple of his posts over at the Cornford forum. I found these and a few others while this amp deal between us was going on and that's what I called him out on.

He had a few names over there as well, fucking creep -

MKII 50 H repairs?

Post by corn dog » Tue Sep 01, 2009 11:30 am

I'm in the USA, and am wondering if there's anyone I can send my MKII to for repairs? It has a wicked "pop" when I switch channels - and it's seems to be clipping when I have the overdrive engaged past 5 or 6? I guess I could ship it to the UK, but it would be great to know if there's a Cornford repair center here? How long is the warranty, and is it transferrable? I purchased this from Steve H. of 39 Stripes.

It sounds like a kind of popping/puffing sound when I hit a note. It's soft attack - not a sharp articulate attack. I don't really hear it with the overdrive off - or turned up to about 5. Once I advance the overdrive past 6, it gets worse? The faster I play - the more pronounced the effect is.

The only good thing about the deal is when I called him on it he did refund my money. Still pissed though when I think about it.
The amp he is referring to was a Straight Edge built MK50H II with 4 x failed polyester signal capacitors, and a 2 x failed electrolytic preamp filter capacitors. I replaced the failed parts in the amp, and re-flowed the boards using Kester 60/40 solder. It was eventually sold to an RT member (who was fully informed of the repairs) who has never had anything but good things to say about the amp.

As far as "puffing noises", I have no idea what he is talking about? He never played the amp, so how would he know anything about it? If he is referring to inherent channel popping of the MK50H II, that has nothing to do with solder. The MK50H II popping is caused by DC leakage across the relay, of which I have a repair for if anyone needs it. I have no other ID than the one you see. The reason why he knew about the popping issue, is because I explained the complete history of the amp... How does this equate to me being dishonest? He contradicts himself with his own accusation, yet he's too stupid to realize it.

I remember talking with him, and from what I recall, he was creepy as hell! A Mark Cameron sycophant, who only wanted a Cornford amplifier because Mark Cameron commented that he liked them... :scared:

His anguish reached a peak when I purchased this Cornford RK100 out from under him here on RT... He went ballistic!

Cornford RK100... The best sounding amp in the world! ;)
