He should write a book, "1001 ways not to sell a product".

If Dave Friedman of RACK SYSTEMS ever writes that book, rule #1 will be, "DO NOT MOD AN AMP FOR CHARVELDAN!"

The mod I'm really digging the clips of is the "Burning Rain" mod done by Nick/dawnofadreamx97.
His clips sound great with no studio trickery.

I have one of Nicks amps....it's the real deal. That amp has stayed with me while many "big name" others have been sent packing.

I know someone that's selling one if you're interested.

This will end the same as every thread.

Guy that can play really well sounds great through the latest and greatist Amp. Pimps amp on forum and says "sounds great dude!!!!! Best amp I've ever played through!!!!! My search for great tone is over!!!!!" Something about "holy grail of tone".

Guy that can play really well sells amp a month later because of some lame ass excuse or "emergency".

Dude that can't really play very well buys said amp. Amp sounds like ass because dude can't really play very well. Goes on Forum saying how great the amps sounds and the search for his "sound" is over. Something about "holy grail of tone".

Month later dude that can't really play very well is trying to sell amp because of some lame ass excuse or "emergency".

Dude that can't really play very well takes $200 loss on amp but complains on forum about how he had to get rid of amp. Something about "holy grail of tone".

A month later dude that can't really play very well buys another amp off of guy that can play really well even though it's the best sounding amp the guy that can really play has ever played through because of some lame excuse or "emergency"......................................

You see where I'm going with this????????

Blades amps are worst than Bugera IMO.

Sound like a PV with a metal zone pedal.

So you're saying that the Blades amp sounds good?

That is unfair.

I feel that this clip sounds very similar to all of his clips with this song. Even very close to the Uberschall.

I am sure if I hooked this same rig up to a 57 in Reaper I would not get these results.

God Damn is this ever getting good.....

Yeah I know I dont have to click.
But I have to click and read.
The old watching a car accident syndrome.

So you're saying that a SLO sounds like a "PV" with a metal zone pedal? I'm confused.

what he means is that he can't tell the difference because its the player and not necessarily the fucking amp. He should know if listened to his own clips. What I find funny about this whole thread is blades clearly does not care as he is entitled to develop and sell a product, does not matter what we think in the end. I don't know as I never played one. Too many people need STFU about these amps and distortion topics and work on their playing skills.

Amen.
I poke fun at this thread because its funny. I think the Blades amp sounds good. But most of the others are burning him at the cross. Very entertaining.

One of the best tones/players I have heard was this guy at a local music store. Was playing thru a Randall V2.
And holy shit if he wasnt playing and sounding incredible!!!
Lynch, Demartini...EVH....Sykes....Rhodes...he was killing it all. :worship:
Had a crowd around him by the time he was done. Everyone asked what he plays thru at home or gigs.....

....answer? Peavey JSX. ;)

He was saying the JSX killed the Randall overall.

One of the aspects I like about the Billy Blades Firebolt amplifier, is that you can control the signal through both the 1st and 2nd gain stages via 2 x 500k pots. I'm not certain of this, but I don't see how a dual preamp adjust could be configured any other way. If I'm correct, the RK100 has a similar setup, as does the Zinky designed Fender Prosonic. The RK is further controlled by bleeding some of the signal to ground via the "hot" switch... The 1st and 2nd stages are limited to parallel adjustments only, due to its dual-concentric (stacked) pots. A dual pot setup lets you dial in some very nice clean tones that would otherwise not be available in a standard 2nd stage only configuration. I don't know if MC used the same type of circuit matrix, but I really like it. I believe Bruce Zinky was the first to use this.

You really need some quality time away from this thread.

What do you suggest?

Have you every watched paint dry? Probably a good start. Maybe change the air in your tires next.
