Ummm... ok. But that amp is likely at some point to catch fire even if you never open it up and poke around inside. Also, how does one bias the amp when replacing tubes if they don't get inside the amp? Your toaster doesn't need to have tubes replaced.

No kidding. I seriously tried to read most of his post, but had to stop as it literally gave me a headache. What a joke.....how can you take someone like that seriously? All we nead to complete this thread is Nitro to come in and add some VH comments and it would be the Billy/Dan/Nitro trifecta !

I know what you mean, he needs to take an "intro to the alphabet" course. At first, I thought he might be getting the short end of the stick, but by god, I was grotesquely mistaken. He repeatedly puts his foot in his mouth. Maybe if he never posted all his rants, he would slip by under the radar, but now, my god, he sticks out like a raisin in a bowl of rice. He is very offensive insulting, ripping, and challenging every person who has ever opened up an amp. Here is another gem that is from 2012:

DF stands for Dave Friedman. In the clips I have heard Friedman's amps blow away Mr. Blades. I really hope nobody gets shocked to death or an entire family is lost as his amp ignites in flames. I have heard some clips by Blades that sounded alright. I will be the first to admit it, but most clips I heard were kind of average. It wasn't till I noticed that his amp was not connected to the guitar in one of his better sounding vids that I realized he was secretly using a different amp off camera!!! Just kidding, I did not see that, but I have suspected that might be the case in his better sounding vids. I am sure I am wrong, not even that dude would go that far.

It was inspired by all the greedy secretive motherfukkers out there making their living off the work of Jose Arrendondo.

Someone brought the Metro link to my attention yesterday. What I like is when George himself comments on Billy on page 4.

One thing I realized. Billy is like an off Broadway actor that has memorized a script. Every night he goes through his lines and gets the same reaction from the crowds.

Since early 2012, no matter what forum he went on, Billy has said damn near the exact same thing on each and every one of them. The result is he gets banned, or called out. Either way he is gone and then moves on to the next forum and starts all over again. As one guy said, "Blades Amps is dead, and it wasn't murder; it was suicide!"

I don't think the buyer was that gullible to be honest.. Blades did post quite a few clips of his amps and the tone was there. Not many boutique builders tend to show off the guts of their amps. Anyone have any luck seeing pics of the BE or a Cameron?? Most of the time you won't see that displayed because people protect Friedman's secret sauce like it were their own. I think what probably happened is that he paid for full for the amp and then said "Oh shit!" when he saw how the cabs were turning out.... From then on, he just hoped for the best. I guess one positive thing that emerged from all of this is that he didn't have to wait 8+ months for his amp and that even though it is built to self destruct, it sounds good.

^^ This was a big part of it. ...and no I didn't do my research, I went by what a couple of guys said that met him in person and played his 50 watt and didn't look any further. Right or wrong I tried to help the guy out and give him the chance to prove himself and it back fired on me...my bad, lesson learned! The important thing is now everyone knows beyond any doubt that he's all talk and a hack unless he can prove otherwise.

So now I get to learn about amps by fixing it myself even if it means rebuilding it. Which it probably will, but first I'll concentrate on making it safe and I'm already getting plenty of help with that. It will sit until it's safe no matter what that takes. Had I known the whole world was watching I'd have never done it. Now all I want to do is try to make the best out of a bad situation.

You handled that with much more maturity than I could have, much kudo's
I would be willing to bet money all his builds look just like that, he refuses to put up anything that looks any better, he just keeps saying the same crap over and over. I think he thinks if he says it enough times, it will change someone's mind about the obvious.
