Thanks Steve,

To make this all the more fun I am getting some hate mail for getting involved and taking advantage of Mark. (WTF  )

I havent even sat down with the man to talk about options and how to sort it out and I am a Robber Barron.

Oh well, I've got a thick skin, wish me luck this week in figuring out the enigma wrapped in a riddle that is the Cameron Amp situation.

It could be another Pandora's Box....

Brad, the amp circuit thief, terrorizing all those poor unfortunate wannabe amp makers. I guess Brad, to appease everyone here, you should probably just fly out to LA, grab a burger with Mark and hand him a suitcase full of money.......But, you got to make him pinkie-swear to make some amps with the money and deliver those already promised, then return your money with interest. Yeah, that's official enough makes good business sense :D

Haven't a few already opened it and found out??

Its been fun, but shutting this down until I have a chance to evaluate the project and see if I can find a win/win for all involved. Will post back when I have more info...

Unlocking the thread for an update on my progress...

Well it is Wednesday morning and I have been in LA since Monday. There are some definite hurdles with this project but I think they can be overcome. I have met with the production builder who is outstanding and already making some very well known high end boutique amps (I am bound by confidentiality to not disclose who) but suffice to say they are an excellent fit for this project.

I am going to be collaborating/partnering on the Cameron Amp company with my good and well respected friends Dave Friedman and Rob Navarrette from Tone Merchants LLC & RackSystems as partners with me in the new Cameron Amplification Company.

As you guys know Dave Friedman of Rack Systems is world renowned as one of, If not the best amp designer, builder in the world and has done the amps of everybody in Rock and Roll.

Rob is well respected in the industry and plugged into everyone in the LA guitar scene and can help me oversee this project as "boots on the ground" so to speak.

I am committed to coming out to California once a month to make sure all runs smoothly as well.

With this venture partnership we can get the amps built, quality controlled, tested when done and warrantied with a world class team. I had dinner with Mark Cameron monday night and he is 100% on board for the project and ready to make amends for the past and get things back on track. The only way he can do this is to allow our team to take total control of all of it and free him up to solely design new circuits.

He will no longer have anything to do with marketing, fulfillment, payments or warranty. His sole job going forward is to be in the background designing new amps for us to build and offer under the Cameron Amp brand. His strength is with a soldering iron and his ears and he will be doing that 100% of the time. He will coordinate with the build team and actually build a CCV with them and make sure it is 100% to his tone standard and he will check the first one to make sure it is perfect, from there we produce them.

Anything to do with the amp company, placing orders, info etc...can be directed to me and I will handle it. As far as the guys who paid Mark for a CCV and didn't get it. We will make sure you get an amp because we know it is the right thing to do, it might not be the first run as the cost of these "MIA Amps" will come from any royalty due to Mark and will need to be generated by new amp sales.

Trust me this is your best shot to get what you bargained for so please do not freak out or cause a forum riot when amps start shipping and you have to wait a bit to get the one you paid for. Its not how I would like it to be but it is what it is and I am you best chance of a solution to the "Pre Brad" circus that went on.

Keep in mind all of the above is what I intend to happen, it is all predicated on my LA attorneys drawing up a LLC and researching any deals made by Mark Cameron before I came along. It may end up not being feasible depending what they find. So the update is I am cautiously optimistic I can solve the problem and bring some really cool amps to the light of day here.

More when I have it. Back at it today.

Brad

Yea I waited a year for a Wizard MC and 3 years for my VHT Pittbull to be repaired.

Please let us know when all the drama is over and everyone is paid. I will want a Cameron when the time is right.

Good for you and thank you Brad if this all works out!! It will be a win win!!

Wow, this reads like an amp soap opera! Hope it has a happy ending, thanks to Brad and Co! And I hope Mark Cameron can be associated with great high-gain amp design, instead of business and credit problems!

Thanks Brad. I'm glad it appears you Dave, Rob, & Mark will be able to move forward with this.

Quite an undertaking to get into. I wish you all the luck you need with it! Respect for taking on the challenge.

Awesome news, and congratulations Brad. I really hope this works out for everyone.

By the way, Mark Cameron should make you a monument for trying to clear up his name and image. I really hope the guy works hard to make everything right. This is his last chance to do so...

Im looking forward to purchasing the new amps from Cameron Amplification available at King Guitars in a couple of months time if the price is right...

Wow, I hope it works out. I would love another CCV and a CCM :D

I surprised with Friedmans involvement and how that will affect the CCV's price point considering he has his own successful amp line... which will be competition with the Cameron CCV and other potential Cameron products. When Mark was actually building amps his price was $2,700-$2,900. In his desperate times, he only charged me $2,500. With all of the people involved I assume the price point will now be around $3,500 or more. I know this is purly speculation on my part...and not any of my business, but as a potential customer, it makes me curious. :)

+1 I'm betting the price point is $3,500. I need to sell my "extra" CCV (if it arrives) before this gets going!
