Wow, I hope it works out. I would love another CCV and a CCM :D

I surprised with Friedmans involvement and how that will affect the CCV's price point considering he has his own successful amp line... which will be competition with the Cameron CCV and other potential Cameron products. When Mark was actually building amps his price was $2,700-$2,900. In his desperate times, he only charged me $2,500. With all of the people involved I assume the price point will now be around $3,500 or more. I know this is purly speculation on my part...and not any of my business, but as a potential customer, it makes me curious. :)

$3,500 is still below what it would cost you to get one today - since you really can't get them from MC.

This would be Great news if in fact it works out.

A lot of us owe you big time.

I was being generous with that number. ;) I actually think it will be more like $3,800-$4,000. :aww:
Based on what the Marsha costs, I would guess you are right. Maybe even more than 4K. We'll see.

If it meant I could get one and knew it would sound like yours, I'd probably find a way to pay that.

Interesting. I was told the CCV's varied quite a bit from build to build. Some sound out of this world and some just so so. I know Dave has one of the good ones. Maybe he can loan his for the proto

+1 I'm betting the price point is $3,500. I need to sell my "extra" CCV (if it arrives) before this gets going!
The ones Mark personally built will be worth more!;)

Yes

Still a deal based on recent sales.

This is great news especially for those waiting on amps they've already paid for. It is very cool of KG, Dave and Rob to get this going while making sure the wrongs of the past are taken care of.

As for the new price, this is obviously all speculation at this point but I think part of the reason the CCV was so desirable was because of the $3K price point. I don't think the line to get one would be near as long and I don't think they would consistently sell in the long run if they were priced at $4K but that's just my opinion.

+1000%. Being mass produced, I would think it would cost less vs. say a custom shop model.

Yup that should be the case. I agree with everybody that around 4K it would be a little over the top. It should be priced to compete directly with the PT-100, Marsha, Fortin Bones, etc etc...

Theres alot more people that need to be paid each time one of these amps sells. Brad, Friedman, Tone Merchants, Mark Cameron, the third party builder. Then you gotta recoupe cost of the components and all the start up costs. To me, that's not gonna translate to less than what they were selling before.

That is also very true. Depends on how they want to do it. If they decide to produce them in large quantities yes the costs could be lower. The other alternative is making small numbers and being able to sell them a higher margins...

If that is the case then one of these is not in my future.

If you can figure out how to sell them for under $2000 you would make a fortune. There is a huge market there ..... compared with above.

Considering the risk and wait and that some had to pay twice for 1 amp at 3k a piece if they got one at all, spending 3500 with brad and getting a warrantied amp with quality inspection, rear panel, and power cord sounds like the deal of the century!!  Seriously, this new turn of events sounds like the best thing for everyone, hope it works out.
