Wow! Chewy and fat goodness right there! That's close to the "sound in my head"! Awesome. Good work on the vid too, Reza.

Welcome George! This is truely a great sounding amp and Marks clips are always outstanding  I noodled around a bit on it at the Amp Show. George can smoke on guitar like he builds amps

That sounds great.

Maybe a little grainy for me (sounds amazing, but my tones that I actually use are clearer than that, I'll be looking for more mid gain tone vids) but I could use that tone.

Mark, is that your Les Paul with the Suhr Aldrich pickups?

Yeah, I didn’t want to be the first to say it but I thought the clip sounded very grainy to me. I wasn’t really hearing what all the praise was about. I’m still looking forward to other clips; as much as I like Mark Days clips normally, this didn’t do anything for me. :aww: With killertone saying how amazing it sounded in the room and how much fun it was to play, I’m sure it was but this clip doesn’t sound like it to me. I’m still thinking that we haven’t heard this amp at its best.

That is Marks Les Paul with Aldrich's and Mark likes alot of Gain. It's just the way he has the Atomica set. It cleans up really nice just rolling the volume down on the guitar.

I loved the amount of gain on this clip and thought the tones and video were great! Notice how Mark turned the guitar's volume down to get a semi-clean tone. I'm pretty sure if you lowered the gain you can get some great old school mid-gain tones as well. These tones are right up my alley!! I would rather have an amp with tons of usable gain becuase you can always back it down.

Much better clips in the high gain mode.....way to go Reza.

Still waiting to hear the original Atomica tone replicated though.....

No just the CCV is midi.

Sounds great.

Can someone compare how the tones differ from what the ccv is capable of? Is it meant to be a stripped down 1 channel ccv?

It is a totally different circuit and vibe than the CCV although obviously with the signature Cameron sound. The CCV is more polished and high fidelity sounding than Atomica IMO. The CCV is a true channel amp with midi and a real clean channel. The Atomica is just an ears back ass kicker. Not polite but really raw, lots of bottom end and heavy sounding. Both good but both complimentary and then there's the Old Bitch, she will be along in a few weeks.

This is a very nice video! Does this monster handle the tight low tuned chugga stuff we young folks do?

You should have heard Killertone on this beast holy crap. I could have listened to him for hours what a killer player!!!!

Mark

but.........are you sure he didnt get mixed up? the original atomica was the inspiration for marks ccv. So the atomica should be like three gain stages, jose master etc. The Aldrich (which to me the amp at te show sounded very similar) is the one thats very different than the ccv and the original atomica.. Me confused. Could mark have got mixed up under pressure or was there some sort of misunderstanding in the naming process? ? Hey also my boss is once again talking early retirement. ANy job openings in the camp???

Strangest job request yet.

No Doubt!

'all ya all mixed up, Can you hire me?'

I second the 'grain' comment is due to the high gain and treble settings -- I would not think I would 'roll back the volume' either --

I bet it sounds bitchin set to what ever gain one would like -- Can't wait to hear it next to the CCV

Between Friedman and Cameron shite is kinda awesome for high gain amps 2012______
