Can we see some mancaves?

I'll be the first to admit that I'm nowhere near as good as I should be considering how long I've been playing. However, I am in a band and we play out semi regularly (it's been a few months though now). I have a lot of gear I guess, but you won't find any $4000 amps here. Besides, it sounds to me that people complaining about other people having too much gear for their ability just reeks of jealousy.

Anyway, here's my "man cave" (my basement where we practice)

What’s with the a$$holes on here criticizing what someone else wants to do with their own money??

You have to somehow be worthy of having things in your life that make you happy?

F&ck that and f&ck off if you have a problem with how someone else is doing what makes them happy, while not harming anyone else.

Anyway.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND and Thank a Vet[/] would ya?

I totally agree that you spend money on what you want. I would rather have $10k into gear than $10 into a used Harley. My uncle has probably $150k in motorcycles (high end one of the baggers has a fucking turbo, so does another one I think, haven't talked to him in a few months) , but I don't damn him for that. Does he race? No, but he likes motorcycles. That's cool with me. He enjoys them. Does he ride as much as I play guitar. NOPE. he is in MN so you only get five months of riding weather up there. And doesn't take them out even every weekend, but that's his thing.

I am happy just the way I have things. Doesn't mean that I don't still buy stuff. But for me, it's my passion. And I have a lot of fun with it.

Everybody should spend their money how they please.

A turbo on a Harley? I'd like to take that pig for a spin!

I just got ours cleaned-up this morning. The roads are comparatively clear compared to what we're used to. I installed Andrews TW37 cams in my 95" build last year. Should have bumped the compression a little more, but it should be fine. Anyone who tells you that a post 1984 Harley is a POS doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground. My '02 Dyna Wide Glide is a Rolex on wheels. My gal's '05 Deluxe rides like a Cadillac.

Given our current circumstances, we may as well convert some Federal Reserve Notes into hard assets while we still can. If things remain this way much longer, many companies are going to fold. Some may never return. I'm pretty much good to go with what I have. A JMP Super Bass 100 is where I'm light.

One of his old turbo bikes was on a 143" motor at that. I think the rear tire is also a 330. He is a helluva mechanic. I imagine he is well into the 225+ horsepower range. Back in the 2000's he had an alcohol powered big inch motor on a chopper. Fucking ridiculous. Totally excessive for anyone but that's his deal. Music gear is mine.

Bumping this thread because you guys inspired me to clean my room (at least part of it). Before I joined Rig Talk I had like one or two amps, now it's somehow grown into Madison Square Basement

Very nice collection there
Some of the all time great amps.......and a Blades?????
Seriously...does it really hang with the rest of that group?
I know the story, but I've never actually even seen one in person, let alone heard one.
And what Peters is that? His amps kick ass and fly way under the radar.

Impressive collection, sir. I see you’ve got the Blades on top, nearest the smoke alarm. Good call. ;)

I got the Blades on a whim because it was a good price. I wasn't expecting much but it surprisingly holds it's own with the big boys. I just keep a fire extinguisher close by. :D The Peters is an older Chimera/Halo 50 watt. James makes great stuff.

My favorite amp is the CCV but I recently got an offer I really can't refuse so I might be parting with it soon. The Marshall below the Fortin is a Cameron Aldrich.
