You guys are giving me some much gas for a CCV, thanks. Living here up north the chances for try one are small. Dave, those it sound much bigger than the Cali?psychodave":qo4zsyc4 said:steve_k":qo4zsyc4 said:Just spent a couple hours in the "testosteroom" with the CCV through the Scumback loaded Mills cab and proved to myself once again why the Cameron CCV is the baddest ass amp on the planet. The band is going to be doing a Zep cover thing soon and it just nails vintage Jimmy Page. Can't wait.

It is really nuts how much the CCV can do. I can get a heavy new metal sound or a vintage smooth Marshall sound with ease. Best amp I have ever owned.

The only reason I ask is I am considering selling mine after I get my Cameron but I wanted to ask you to get your opinion. I think I remember you saying you got a IIC+ but I may be mistaken...

Still got the IIC+, but it pretty much stays in a head case. They are just different beasts all together and I would use them for totally different playing styles and tones. Its not the amount of gain, because they both have loads of it, just the voicing.

yea, the bass on the c+ can get farty, the bass on the ccv NEVER gets farty just bigger and punchier....
Yup, that cab is at his place - I saw it when I was over there picking up my cab yesterday...steve_k":2s6wh9oj said:I think Mark has the matching snakeskin cab that goes with this head to send me.

Right on brother....I am running Gain 1 about 9:00 and Gain 2 about 3:00 with a lot of presence and treble with the mids down around 9:00. Playing a Les Paul with MC 2BB's in it and it just rips and grunts. The 4 x M75 Scums in the Mills 412 and the EV Black Labels in the 212 and both completely dry is enough to give me all kinds of movement. Think I will try me a line out through the Eventide Eclipse and a Mesa 50/50 power amp to a wet cab. Or. if I can find my Bradshaw lined mixer and 4x4 switcher, I may just go with a couple of pedals (flanger/delay) to the wet cab. Should be absolutely killer then.
I think Mark has the matching snakeskin cab that goes with this head to send me. If I wear my snakeskin boots, I'll be shining like a diamond in a goat's ass then and, look like Ted Nugent...

Ohh HELL NO!
I Keep Mine Right On The "P" Much Betterer!
But as you suggest... I want to see where Stevo winds up with a standard CCV...

I'm using my CCV with the Suhr line out box into my Axe-FX for delay and stereo micropitchshift in a W/D/W setup. Sounds completely insane. Since I have my Cameron 4x12 now, I'm gonna convert my Stereo Mojave cab to mono (I've been using it for stereo wet now) and I'll make the Cameron cab my dry sound and the two Mojave 4x12s my wet sound fed by the Axe-FX and VHT 2/50/2. I'll get separation in the effects I'm not getting now with just the stereo cab since my two Mojave 4x12s will now be separated by the dry Cameron cab. This will be Epic! Couple pics before I got the Cameron cab. I'll post more this weekend when I get around to converting my stereo cab and re-arranging things:steve_k":2l1onj6l said:Just remembered the little "Line Out" box that Jerry made for me. Peeling some line level signal out of the CCV speaker jack, through the Eclipse and through a Mesa power amp to a wet cab.
Holy SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIT........
If I can figure the little Zoom H3 out later, I may stick some clips up with some wild ass stereo W/D stuff.
Cleaning shit out of pants first.
