Hey Kage...

No, it's a Voodoo HG Jose Platinum w/ Mercury Mag Trannies... Why Does That Sound Dirty?

It has the Global Sweep, Mid Slice, and Bottom Controls also with a Push/Pull 10db gain switch, and I use "In" for Hot Pickups like in the clip there, and pulled out(boosted) for Strats, or Low Gain HB'ers

You look great in the picture BTW!

Very Cool!!! I love Trace, hes such a great guy but I havent had alot of luck with his amps that Ive played. I did play a VRock at the NY show last year that was great and I know that If I could get up to him and play while he solders and tweaks that he could definitely make me something sick...

As it stands, Im really loving Mike Fortins modded Marshalls and am probably going to send a JMP to him to mod for me. Its inevitable though, some day, I will definitely get around to visiting Trace and going to work with him on somthing for my stable...

Kage,

I know Fortins stuff sounds good... I did have to tweak, and change a lot of resistor values on my amp to get it where I want it... The work was first rate though.

I have to tell you Tony, Im pretty certain that we have very similar tastes in players as well as tone and I think that you would LOVE Fortins work. Honestly, after playing Marks modded Marshalls, I thought that his work was the end of the road, top of the heap. I know that its probably not right to say considering the Forum but after playing Fortins Cali modded Marshall, It was every bit as delicious in tone and feel as Marks, maybe even better to my ears and it reignited my Modded Marshall gas that had layed dormant for years...

If you get down this way Bro, let me know and Ill make sure that you get to spend some quality time with one...

110 posts. Any comparable amp yet?
BTW, The Wizard and the CC are completely different animals. iIhavn't played a CCV, but I can tell from the clips. They are both do their own thing. I need a boost with my MC to get it tighter. I believe the CCv is already tighter. People take more gain to mean tighter or more saturated. You can have two amps with the same gain but one will be much tighter and saturated based on it's voicings and component values. truth is I would like the CCv alot. My wizard kills, but withouit a boost I would be looking for more of something. Very organic and harmonically complex amp.

Is Cameron Amplification taking orders? What is the cost for a CCV?

It's Just Under $3k...

But it's not the Cost... It's the wait, and wait, and wait... Dave was lucky and got his in a couple of months... Because Mark almost had one ready.

Steve k ordered one around the same time that I called Mark up and coordinated, and he still has not recieved it yet... And it's been I think over 4 months or better.

Now... If you ordered one.. YOU WILL GET IT... But you have to make a commitment that you wait as long as it takes... and not waver if it takes much longer than promised.

It's like total commitment... Saying I want one of these, and I don't care how long it takes... If you are the kind of guy that counts the days... It's not for you. It's like a trial by fire to get into the club. I guess that's why we all stick together!

Best,

Thanks! I don't mind waiting at all. And I don't know why people would complain about waiting? Paying with a credit card means that you're insured for the payment. I think this may be the amp for me? I found a few more clips, and I think I'd choose this over a Splawn, or any of the other modded Marshall sounds. I heard a Friedman Marshall that sounds pretty wicked!

So what is the total price, including a 4X12 cabinet delivered?

A cabinet is another $1,000

Now paying with a Credit Card?.... That's another matter totally

Mark only takes payment by Western Union. So it becomes a cash advance through your credit card. I dont know of any credit card insuring this type of transaction.

Good point. Wow! Western Union... Sound risky - but it seems people are getting their amps. You would think that he would accept credit card payments? Seems like an odd way to do business if you ask me... :scared:

Someone mentioned an Iron Cross?
