After seeing their new shit that they are pimping on HBO, it is clear (and I always new this) that John Bonham was the most talented and greatest musician of this enigma band –Page and Plant suck! Page was always out of his range like Mercury.

Page is a complete joke. He even wrote that when he heard my father, Fred Gerlach, playing Gallows Pole on 12-string that he had a major revelation. My father is a 12-string master and builder. Page then went on to write and say that he, Page completely rewrote my dad's version of Gallows Pole and then called it his own. The reason, 1.) Page can't play a 12-string guitar, 2.) It took a shit load of LSD for Page to believe that he is a legend in his own mind.

Led Zeppelin was nothing more than a LSD cult band and they sucked and stole music from so many great musicians, and it is well documented. Black musicians particularly.

Well I could not disagree more. Been listening to the Zep for over 40 years and they still sound new and exciting to me.
Quite frankly I just don't understand how anyone, musician or not, doesn't dig Led Zep. They are the Beethoven to the Beatles Mozart. They are dark and mysterious, creating moody soundscapes and hot raw rock and roll.

Page is one of the best 5 guitarist of all time, IMO and Robert Plant has a unique and complex voice that is second to no oe in rock and roll history.

Somehow it has become chic to dis the Zep, but for me, they are as timeless and good to listen to a any band out there. At least four of their albums are the kinds that if I lose or harm them, I immediately replace it with a new copy.

I'm a Zep fan,...didn't really "get" them until later in my life but I don't think they are overrated at all. Page wasn't the best technical lead player, but he wrote some great riffs and songs,...Plant influenced an entire generation of frontmen and Bonham,...well, he was the best -- and to this day you don't get much better. JPJ is the forgotten guy,...great bass player, musician and songwriter himself.

That said, I don't really listen to the first two albums a whole lot. My favorites are Zep III, Physical Graffiti and Houses Of The Holy.
