Free will – fuck that. Ignorance and complete disregard for humanity, recklessness and stupidity, yes! Not freewill but what I just said.

With over a trillion stars and countless planets in our galaxy, how a rational intelligent human being not ponder or at the very least realize that there are other forms of life out there. Whatever they may be.

Think about it – it takes us years to send probes to Mars. And that's not even close to the thousands of light-years that it would take us to even get close to the outer radius of our own galaxy. We could never no matter what it takes to actually explore these vast distances.

There are billions and trillions of galaxies of planetary solar systems out there in our single Universe. Most, if not all reputable current astrophysicist believe that there are an infinite number of Universes that exist.

Do you honestly believe that some 60's dope head looking white guy with a head draped with rose thorns magically created all this bullshit?

Think…

Take what you just said, about the grandness of the universe, infinite galaxies. Do you think it's impossible for such a being to exist? If it's even possible for a supremely powerful creature to exist then why not call it God or whatever?

I believe in God or almighty or whatever, but I don't subscribe to any form of organized religion, nor heaven or hell. There are simply too many coincidences found in nature for this all to be random.

I don't believe in creationism, that's just silly. However I could totally see a situation where a supremely powerful creature is using our galaxy as an experiment.

i wont get into a religious debate but yes i do believe god exists and i believe in jesus as his son. i personally believe that with all my heart and im not ashamed of it. i dont get into these types of threads normally because people try to make me look stupid for my beliefs but since you asked this question i answered it and thats as far as im gonna go with it. its a topic that never ends on a good note if you know what i mean. :)

I've recently had to review my position of the God verses Chance debate. Kind O figured that if there was a true God, there must be a true Religion...well the old adage holds true: Religion gave God a bad name, if he(or she, LOL) does actually exist.

With that behind me I'd like to ask, how can you correlate life on other planets, and the possible existence of a god?

Just curious

Exactly, and well put too :)

I don't know. I see no evidence that God exists.

The Bible says God spoke to man all the time. Angels singing, booming voices burning bushes, etc etc.

How did the Bible get written by God if He didn't speak to Man?

What now? People make a bunch of stuff up and see Jesus in their pancakes or spackle.

Millions of years of evolution and/or designed by God....and THIS is what we have? SHouldn't we be better off? God made us for "Who wants to be a millionaire" and "Survivor" and "Deal or no deal"?

IN the end it's a futile conversation. The Bible and the preachers have every angle covered. All that is good is God, and anything bad is Satan and Man. It's a watertight win. Doesn't matter if it is supposedly all designed by God.

If god couldn't or wouldn't do one dman thing for
t1port.jessica.lunsford.jpg

then what's the use? Why would God even exist? For an afterlife we don't even know occurs?

And what about the afterlife? Eternal life with God? What is that? What do you do for eyernity? Tea and crumpets with Auntie M? Get teased abotu jacking off 3 times a week by Grandma? Jamming with J. Hendrix would be kinda cool. Do we sail the universe looking for a new experience?

And these are just a few of the many questions that plague me. God's way of giving me a hard road to faith, I guess.

Can I just answer with - I hope so?? I mean - when you do gaze out into outerspace or think about death -- don't you hope that there's something more besides just this short existence that we know? To me the scariest thing would that we're just here for a few years - and then gone forever -- nothing else. I mean, then what was the point?? Why bother with our infinitesimal existence to begin with. This has nothing to do with religion - which bugs me to no end - it's just that, personally, I hope there is a God or at least something after the blip in time that is our lives.

Honestly now, do you really give two shits what other people think? As long as it's not directly affecting you, why not let people believe what they want? I never understood why people try to go to such great lengths to try and bash religion. Besides, 99% of your posts here are just to try and be the next Carl Jr. You go out of your way to bash people who buy and sell amps, because you think your amp setup is the best. I honestly have no idea why you even post here. You were never like this when RT started. What happened between then and now?

You won't look stupid if you provide SOME sort of rationale for your belief. I know faith doesn't REQUIRE facts and proofs....but you could AT least testify...if you know what I mean.

Gave you a chance to vent, dinnit?

He has a point....something is wrong here. Me thinks it's man njust fucing everything up....but God made man in his image...right? How presumptuous.

IN all honesty, I believe there could be a higher power, I almost believe I have faith in God...but in general..Mankind sucks ass. But then, God designed Man...so then I'm dissing God.

Fuck I DON'T KNOW!

Well you could look at the abundance of nature, or how an apple and most fruit just happens to fit in your hand...

The Bible says God spoke to man all the time. Angels singing, booming voices burning bushes, etc etc.

God did speak directly to man until man decided he did not need God's law

How did the Bible get written by God if He didn't speak to Man?

The Bible says "all scripture is inspired of God"

What now? People make a bunch of stuff up and see Jesus in their pancake or spackle.

People tend to believe and see what they want to

Millions of years of evolution and/or designed by God....and THIS is what we have? SHouldn't we be better off? God made us for "Who wants to be a millionaire" and "Survivor" and "Deal or no deal"?

Again, God gave us one law originally, but we fucked with the tree of knowledge and picked the forbidden fruit. Please don't fail to see the symbolism in the text.

IN the end it's a fuilte conversation. The Bible and the preachers have every angle covered. All that is good is God, and anything bad is Satan and Man. It's a watertight win. Doesn't matter it is supposedly all designed by God.

Which came first, the Evil or the Man

The scipture says there will be a great tribulation(trial period)that will basically show everyones true colors. After the goats reveal themselves, then the end of that system will come. Note, not the end of the earth!

then what's the use? Why would God even exist? For an afterlife we don't even know occurs.

The tribulation period must end sometime, but not before all reasonable doubt is removed that we could somehow have our own law, instead of Gods.

I don't believe in heaven or hell, but the bible says after the tribulation that new books wil be opened and there will be a new heaven and a new earth. And crying will be no more, neither will pain or anguish, all the former things will have passed away.

And these are just a few of the many questions that plague me. God's way of giving me a hard road to faith, I guess.

It is written that none of us will be tested beyond our endurance

It's easy to see how so many folks fear and/or hate the fairy tales that have been twisted by religion to get our approval. Again, I am stuck in the middle on this one, but I have made a study of it for many years. May try Budda next. They even give out good food at their temple ;)
Peace out,
MOAAH.

Yes I do. For all the bad shit that has happened to many people and friends of mine My Mother bless her heart is a strong woman of faith and I truly believe her prayers are what kept me alive 37 years.

I use to do some real dumb shit when I was younger. Hospitalized for partying too hard when I was just 22. Running around the train yards bombing trains when I was a teen, shot twice during an attempted robbery, stabbed during a fight, robbed at gun point a few times, car accidents.

I also believe my faith and my prayers never go unanswered. Good things happen for me and my family for a reason. I'm a good man with a good heart and I know he rewards me and my family for our efforts.

Believe what you want. I live my life to the fullest and I don't regret anything. I know in my heart God exists I believe whole heartedly a man named Jesus died on the cross for me. Do I need to bash those who don't? Nope. I have friends that don't believe in God and that's their choice. In the end I'd rather believe In God and pray for those who don't.

God didn't f-up the world, we did. Freedom of choice is a real mother, but would you want a God that didn't give you that choice?

To me it's amazingly illogical to believe that the universe formed randomly. It's also illogical to believe that God created everything without scientific principles like evolution and adaptation. Why would God create some science but other things are left to the wave of a wand so to speak. Just my two cents.
