You know how I like it, I think it's great.

I'm digging it too. I think I'm going to use it at the next jam... which footswitch did you end up getting? My buddy Mike came over while I was recording yesterday and he was pretty excited about the amp too but was wondering about the footswitch capabilities.
I got the FBV Shortboard...works great. However below 40 degrees with lots of ccondensation it seems to go a bit nutty.

Cool, and thankfully, I'm not too concerned with temps below 40. :)

I played the little thing for about an hour yesterday... After a bit of fiddling around, I was actually quite impressed with it... I dig the thing,
I don't care what the naysayers think.

Gary! Did you get a SV?

I agree with you. I was initially a bit unimpressed in the first 15 minute session I had to play with it, but I fired it up the next day and did some fiddlin' and I think this is a great little amp. It's obviously not going to replace my D60/D412 rig, but this amp is going to get used, especially once I get some presets dialed in and saved!

everybodies take is great so far

especially digging Phil's, got some cool deferent sounds. some of it's got me thinking Bagpipes?

Yep, cool takes by all  I liked phil's tone too. Bass and guitars were all podxt on mine btw ;) I didn't think Bob's was a modeller at all, but I didn't think it sounded like the deliverance or shiva either. And since he didn't mention what he used, I figured there was treachery afoot :D

I didn't buy it. I was there to pick up a used Boogie 2:90 poweramp for the Axe-FX. Those two things work GREAT together by the way!

I did play it for about an hour though. I personally think it sounds great though. I have heard people say they get better sound with an XT through a tube power-amp, but I haven't heard them yet...lol   I think they did a KILLER job with the SV!

I installed Garageband 08 and decided to just use pure modelers. I also decided to go back to basics with a more pentatonic feel. There are a few mistakes, but I'm sure you can look past those.  I also included a mirror in case Soundclick doesn't work.

Oh yeah, it was the Arena Rock (RAWK!!!) modeler on both the rhythm and lead.

Crap... I got started late so I won't have time to finish mine today... I got bass and rhythms done, but no leads yet... gonna have to wait... I'll finish it during the week..

Yep, make up a guitar part, play bass part, wank over top, try to polish with limited mixing know-how, bounce to mp3, host online and you're done

Well... I threw down bass and rhythm guitars and then my wife came in and said she wanted to get dinner, so no time for even one lead take...

Everyone did a good job - you included! Thanks for the complement, btw. I love hearing everyone's various takes on such a blank track. It's real interesting what goes through people's heads when they hear something so plain.

thanks dude  i just think its great that everyone hears stuff differently...kinda gives you an insight into the mind of the artist, so to speak. and hearing everyone elses takes always gives me ideas for future jams...i hear something cool and ill incorporate it into something else. inspiration is always good

I've got the house to myself today so I think I'm going to throw something down over a drum track Phil posted a while back. Anybody else up for a jam today? Here's the drums:

Come on now, I played my lead all the way through, one time, and then just cut some stuff out so there were rhythm gaps. :) My buddy Mike was over as I recorded and after the lead I said "O.K., that's good enough. Let's get another beer" and Mike's response was something like "oh, really? O.K."
