I've given up on the G-System, I cant get the noise out of it, no matter what I've tried I still have a loud hiss. I was on the phone yesterday for an hour with a guy from the TC forum and he couldn't figure it out. What effects are you using with you amp. I have to have delay but I also like reverb and chorus. I just sold all my pedals to buy this G-System and I hate the thought of buying pedals again but I might end up doing it.

Have you tried just running it in the loop (i.e. not using the 4 cable method)? I had better results with that setup. I have also just started using the TC Nova System in the loop. I do not have all of the levels set but it was not too bad (not dead quiet though).

We tried that and still has more noise than it should.

Seems like that axefx thing could be the tool for you here.

You might also wanna do some research on the eventide 3000.

The good old Intellifex LTD gives xou all those Effects in supreme quality an does not make any problems with my Schmidt.
Those are cheap to get, so maybe try one of those..

Einstein 100W head here, Eventide TimeFactor - great, great, great!, occasional boost (Suhr Koko and NAudio Firesound) and wah (Dunlop - the simplest one) ....

You may want to look into the Rocktron Xpression - lot's of effects out of the box and twaekable, very easy setup.

I use the G-force with my VH4 and it is very good. The Eventide will be great but more expensive.

I use the TC Nova System in the loop for time-based effects only, and it is totally quiet and does everything the G-System will do in this regard.
The four-cable method has always made noise in my setup and I stopped using it long ago.

Im using an Einstein combo with a TC G-Major in the loop and its yet to disappoint in any way.

I'm thinking about going back to the G-Major 2, its a real pisser that a unit like the G-System cant operate quiet, its up there with the very best of effects. I have a Pro Rack G that I just wont use with it because with the money I've already spent I shouldn't have to buy a gate so I'm sending that back today also.

Ive been using the TC GMajor (first edition) for over 6 years...zero noise...and so easy a caveman can use it. And pretty cheap too.

I've used the G Force, G-Major 2, Rocktron Xpression, various pedals - all with great results. Now I use the Eventide Timefactor and Modfactor and a T Rex Roommate Reverb (waiting for a Verbfactor). The Eventide pedals are great, easier to dial in than a rack unit and can still be controlled via MIDI.

My setup:

Diezel VH4 + Eventide Eclipse + some pedals in rack
(in combination with MAKO MAK2 head + Lexicon MPX G2)

You have the rig I dream of, Diezel + Mako (But, I'd add in a Vox AC30 or a Bogner Shiva for cleans)! :)

How do the Mak 2 and Diezel work together/compare?

I just had a friend bring over his Timefactor and Modfactor and the TF has great delays in it, the MF while better than before is just something I would'nt use. I dont know what I'll end up with.

That sucks.. maybe it was a dud?

The HE-2 didn't help with your Hum problem? I just rewired my entire switching rig with my red ltd g-system and it is quiet using the hum elminator. With the decimator pro you can't even tell it's on. I'm using the 4 cable method, front end going to PT-100, but the back end is used in a W/D/W system with a lineout from a attenuator going into the G-system return.

Did you use balanced cables going out of the g system to the hum elminator? Also seperate the power cables from any instrument cables?

The HE2's got rid of the buzz but not the hiss. I had balanced cable and I made sure I separated all the cables. I'm still so pissed that this didn't work. I tried everything to get it to work.
