Egnater E2 modular Preamp?

power amp ...not likely in the next 2 years ..if I was a betting man ..Egnater makes some great stuff but man from inception to rollout is a nightmare

I just sold my Mod 'cause I was tired of waiting for the E2. BUT, picked up an M4 and now want that one space power amp!!!

Find a Mesa 50/50. They're very reasonable on the used market, and the M4 sounds great through it. Or if you can find a ADA Microtube, those are also really great with the M4. Mine is about to be sent off for service at the moment, but when it comes back...

Personally, I think this entire E2 idea is silly.

Personally, I think that E2 can be real breakthrough finally and still waiting impatiently
Not only for couple of modular freaks (how many of them exist anyway?), but modules for thousands other guitarists (which don´t want to change their cool heads for some "simulation").
But to have more, totally different, sounds, very easy, not so expensive and big and heavy like buying new heads, gears.... come on.
Everybody can see Egnater´s success with "normal" amps, which is 1000x stronger than all modular. E2 is clear chance to put modular system on new level (which deserves).

Bruce, I'll buy a torpedo vm-202 ($3000) in august and won't touch it until I can use it with the E2. (but true)

2 questions:

1) will the E2 be ready for any input voltage, 110v-240v?
2) will it be available in Europe or do we have to get one in the US?

I´m VERY interested in the E2, I´m running a rack setup with a CAE 3+se and would love to add the Egnater Vox and SL modules to my setup. I played the modular stuff several times and love these (and more) but I also LOVE my CAE. I don´t have the rack space to add the M4 so the E2 would give me the 2 sounds I miss in the 3+se.

1. Yes. It will use a Wall Wart.
2. I don't know.

The specs don't really matter. The E2 has been in the works for 2+ years now. Don't get yourself all worked up until Bruce announces "we are now taking orders for the E2!". I was ready to buy one in the fall of '08 when I bought my Rebel. Still waiting...

Armageddon and Vengeance are listed on the website. E2 isn't. I suspect that says something about where that project is.

I was thinking today how much I want one of these. The simple reason is I like my MOD 50 but it is too heavy. I want to use my Rebel thirty and it's awesome clean channel, with the crunchy channel 2 and still have my E2 running my B'man module and my old single channel EG3. Everything I want, and light weight

I had always planned to sell my Dual M4, GCX to opt for the E2 as soon as I could....almost sold the M4 a year ago or more...just as well I didn't eh?

I agree. I would buy an E2 right now if I could. I need a good 1sp preamp, and there would be nothing better than to have it be modular.
