Damn, what an expensive passtime we have huh?

Yes and no. If a guy buys everything right, then the money is still there just in a different form then green backs. WIth crap for interest rates available today, I feel like it's a decent place to put money. Cool amps and guitars are way more fun to play with then a stack of paper, and it may take a while, but I could get my money back if I needed it. Not like a lot of other hobbies where you get pennies back on your dollar if you want out.

Yep, get that. My money is well invested in this, but, can you imagine the amount? I got about 35 guitars 8 heads, some costing close to 4k each. Ha ha. Expensive for sure. Like you say, i could get back most of it if i sell. But whats the fun in that!!!!!! Some day I'll have to sell stuff. Once i settle in a nice little log home close to the rockies. To do my other favorite pastime!!!!!!

Here is the fun in that

I sold 3/4 of my gear and a few guns for this: took about 2-1/2 months and a lot of determination to do it. I paid the Motor Home and Bike in cash, have a loan out on the trailer and Mini Cooper in the trailer for under $370 a month. I basically have to make $1000 a month, above that goes in savings I didn't want to wait to retirement age to retire and travel. I'm kinda glad I was a gear whore


Time to work a little and play a lot. Still have a decent set up with 2 les Paul's, 2 fender Strats and a Tele. I was a big time gear whore on here

Oh yeah, i hear ya on the play a lot, i`ve never stopped man, i am 42 and feel like i am 16. Been riding bikes and sleds since i was 6, still at it as much as i was back then...Well maybe not as much but still, a lot!!!!!



By the way, nice V&H pipes dude!!!!!!!!! LOL



Enjoy life everybody, as much as you (WE) can, it is too short to miss out.

After 30 years of trying I've finally got my WDW rig together.
Bogner XTC head into the 4x12 cab, efx loop send into the Axe FX & return into a Matrix power amp using 2 Bogner cubes.
I've got a world class setup with effects & amps that would've cost me $50k plus in the 80's or 90's.

I had a 20th XTC (AFXII) (2-RT 2/50amps) and did that exact same setup. Was amazing.... I miss it

Yeah, was on BRP till i've blown Two motors in one season. The Yammie is new this year, ne ver rode it yet. Has the MPI turbo too. Can't wait to try that thing 153". The BRP has an amazing chassis though, hard to beat.

I love crafting pipe bombs and experiment with black powder. Got kicked out of high school back then cause of that. My parents had to have a letter made by a lawyer that i had to sign to let me back in school. Suspended for a month though. Got lucky not to scrap my whole school year.

Ok, back on topic. Lol.

Finally had just enough snow to ride about a week ago. It was practically like having to learn how to ride all over again.

Oh yeah dude, man, i looove sledding in the pow, big time. We don`t have super huge mountains around here but every year me and a buddy go down for a week to Golden BC and we rent machines with a friend(Guide), witch you need to get to those special untouched bowls no one knows about!!!!!

Last year i rode a 174" and god damn, this thing climbs and never stops, wish it had a turbo though, cause @ 10K feet, power drops fast.

First or second week of Feb, were going again. This is our tenth year. Can`t wait. Wish i could bring my Yammie. But i love the Summit`s handling, and the newer E Tec 800 pulls hard.
