To those of you that heard false tales floating around hears what "actually" went down with my dealings with Mr. Robert Di Santo of Stone Tone.
I own a rather large facebook page called Guitar Acquisition Syndrome where Robert approached me in a private message asking about my guitars and whatnot and proposed an offer for me to try out one of his Stone Tone Granite blocks that are going to revolutionize the guitar world 10 fold. Ok, I'll give it a shot what the hell right? So I told him that one of my guitars is a Ibanez Prestige that has a Edge Pro on it. He said no problem... Sent him a picture of the block in question which is the exact same picture Robert had posted earlier. He said whoa that is way different than anything he has been making but he said that he could definitely do it... Ok, no problem. I'll even send you the block to make the prototype and better yet I'll send you the Edge Pro trem as well!
So he has the trem by now and is calling me wanting to know why Ibanez designed the block the way they did. My response was hell, I don't know. He said let me figure something out. No problem. Time goes by and every call there after was to tell me about why things are at a stand still. Now I'll admit this isn't your ordinary everyday block so I hung in there for about a month no problem. Then I get another call as to why he can't move forward and it was anchor inserts that he wasn't able to find and that the ones that he had ordered were the wrong size. It was at this point he was asking me if I had any connections as to where to get these anchors. My response again was hell, I don't know... These anchors you are using for these blocks are not even a guitar part so beats the shit out of me. Asking me if I had any connections to get these said parts more then shook my confidence in the whole fiasco. So 2 or maybe 3 days later I call him and said "hey man I really do appreciate everything that you have done thus far but this is really becoming a pain and I really need to get this sent back to me." Wasn't being a dick at all. Very calm and collected and quite pleasant actually if I don't say so myself.
It was when I asked for him to please send my trem back and the response I received from Robert Di Santo was NO! I was a little stunned at that response and replied excuse me? Just please send the trem back it's just too much of a hassle with all of these roadblocks you're running into. So get this. He says "No I'm not sending it back I'm going to finish what I started and when it's done I'm going to keep the block and then send your trem back as to you have wasted my time." Then proceeded to call me a real piece of work. I was like are you fucking kidding me? Just please send my trem back man. You don't want me bad mouthing your business this early in your venture. That's when he said if I do I'll have to deal with his lawyers and that I'm barking up the wrong tree and called me Pal. At this point I had reiterated to him that he does have my property and I would like him to return it to me in the same condition he had received it. His response, "Your trem is no longer a priority and you'll get it when I'm ready to send it." Then he blocks me on Facebook and that was that....
2 weeks later I did receive my trem back in the same condition that it was sent out and I'll give credit where credit is do he did send it back but it wasn't a pleasant dealing with Robert Di Santo at Stone Tone.
So I ask you.... Was I being rude and abusive and a complete dick as you imply? This is what went down folks and Robert Di Santo if you don't agree that this is pretty much word for word of what our short lived correspondence was you're crazy man...
So there you have it folks. Make you're own judgment.
P.S. I have never received nor tried a Stone Tone block so I cannot in good faith give a report as to if it works or if it doesn't. This is just my dealings with Robert at Stone Tone, nothing less, nothing more. Keep Rocking my Brothers!

Then when he is at a standstill and you got tired of not having your trem in your guitar after more than a long enough time and then you request that he sends it backs he refuses at first and says you wasted his time?
I think i changed my mind and will not be taking a gamble on trying one of these with the "quoted" two week money back guarantee if not satisfied.
Too much drama and too many things that make me very leery so over and out,
now back to playing the $20 big brass block

I called you after I had your tremolo for 3 1/2 weeks and of searching the web and inquiring other sources to find a 4/32 machine screw anchor/insert that was impossible to locate I called you to make you aware of the ongoings and you responded with " I had it with your bullshit man just send my tremolo back NOW" That's what you said Vince.
That's when I cut you off. I don't deal with that garbage attitude from anyone, never have and never will. Especially after Kevin had a FREE block you wanted one as well yet I didn't make that style at that time and offered to give it a shot.
There is nothing wrong with having an opinion yet when anyone in the GAS room and many other group rooms like yours has a new pc a gear and wants to mention how great it is, you and your cohorts disagree... then wolfpack on the guy like a bunch a ignorant teenagers with hate and spew with all kinds of untruths etc.. Nothing wrong with disagree'n It's how you go about it, because after all it is a debate...

You talked to me that way after I agreed to make you the 1st block of that style that was a complete opposite direction of what I was producing @ that time, 2 1/2 yrs ago and you still to this day rant over that event..
Get over yourself Vince and try to treat people with some respect than berate everyone who has a different view than you in your GAS room and the like.
I make those blocks now and 18 other styles all day long, things have been great, especially with Floyd Rose, sterling by music man Line 6 and many others without any issues.
No need to hate Vince, there is enough of that in this world already.

Functionality of this rock aside, I can't believe this guy's customer service skills. Regardless of who is right or wrong you can't publicly talk about dealings with customers like this, much less by name. What a perfect way to kill your business. If I could install this thing in my guitar and go from zero to amazing I wouldn't give this guy a hundred bucks because of his attitude alone.

i am kevin, the other guy he calls out by name, he sent me a message begging me to try his product, i did it didn't work with my scott hembry made skull and bones as the guitar is grounded at the claw and i didn't wanna go drilling into it to run a different ground so we sent the block back, he proceeded to call my tech and i ignorant, morons, stupid, ect....i would love to take more time to address this man, however my mother is dying of pancreatic cancer and my time is not my own right now, but i will be watching...thanks for your time fellas

Do I really have to point out the you are the walking example of if anyone questions your product or has a different point of view you immediately resort to name calling and insulting then by saying obviously you don't have the intelligence to understand the mystical workings of the atom tickling that goes on in the magic rock. If I'm a liar then look at your comments in the first few pages of this thread. Nuff said. My guitar page is a NO STONE TONE FLY ZONE! Simply due to your unprofessional attitude and business tact.
