There are literally no good clips of Larry’s work outside of JS/Iced Earth recordings. Bear in mind these are multi tracked and studio polished. Still not what “you” are gonna sound like.

Larry is absolutely hurting himself and I too have had quite a few convos off the forum of people PM’ing me and texting saying the same thing. He’s hurting himself even if he doesn’t see it.

Nah. Less than 10 people. Not worth it. I love what I do, and truly have no interest in changing it because a couple nameless/faceless people on the internet hate their lives. These people eventually get bored and realize that no one takes them seriously. I just keep a little folder of all the threats and nonsense saved. Isn't it insane to think about? Ok, that was a cheap shot but too funny. In all seriousness, I can't find much info about how to order, price, when it would be delivered, etc. So, sure sleep all day and night if you want, but if one were to plunk down more 5k- which is a low guess- that person deserves a product within a reasonable time frame commiserate with competing amp builders. As genuis as the amp design may be, I'm not on board with the possibility of 12+ months going by while you hold the cash. Others can take the risk and wait in hopes of the gold tone. I guess this model works for you....but your end result is the opposite- I'm even more interested in the Pumpkin now.

From what I've read, more like $6k and 2-3 years wait time. I don't disagree with you, but I think you're missing the point. Nobody deserves anything from Larry. He has a product and has chosen his path, whatever that entails. All buyers have to assess the risks and make a decision about purchasing. Obviously, Larry has found an equilibrium that keeps him at his desired work/life balance and he continues to have the customer base to support his business. Why should he change anything at all?

I'm not knocking Larry one bit, but damn there is some shit floating around - claims of epic wait times, poor communication, withholding deposits, general shadiness. And as a one-man operation, he is left to defend himself in whatever way he can. IMO it is a shame that it has come to such shit talking on an online forum to attempt to get the facts straight.

Personally, if the wait could be shortened a bit, and if there was just a little more professionalism surrounding the product (ie quality website, some quality clips, tactful marketing) I could see myself saving up for such a legendary product. But again, I don't deserve anything from the man and he's found his balance without all of these things. So really it starts to come down to morals and ethics - I could buy a Fortin that is a so called copy, maybe inferior in some ways but hard to say. Should I support such a company who's history is steeped in questionable practices?

Bottom line is the vast majority of people will say sure, why not? That's what our global society has learned to do. We tend to turn the other cheek when it comes to ethical conflicts. But not everyone...there are those that value Larry's amps for what they are, and that is why he will stay in business. In fact - while Fortin is selling more product because of these threads, I guarantee you so is Larry.

Since this is technically Jason's sig amp, it's done the way Jason wanted. I can't wait for you guys to hear it in person. It really is just a whole other level of brutal. It even made me want to have Jason's right hand more than I do already.

He even paid a lunch and couple beers!!!! No shipping and no duties as they where already in Canada. Will the EP be sold as a Canadian amp or an import from the UK ?

That is a big factor in the equation of the final price.

There literally were pictures of the two of them together with that guitar, including one with Rob after going through chemo.

Please point me to something that sounds like it delivers not just retro tones but modern metal Fortin-ish tone.

Retro tones you could get of my British Purist, but not of my DINO, Rock Wizard or Pure Metal Machine amps.
Though a Larry amp with a Fortin-ish tone is a problem for me, since my amps don't sound cold or sterile and a Larry amp with a Fortin-ish tone would be quite like a Steak with a Burger-ish taste

Because none of the meanwhile about 200 DINO amps all around the world has blown a transformer yet.
Moreover calming, that DINO amps already came out 28 years ago, what warrants, that it's throughout developed.
And - my transformers are definitely (not only allegedly) made in the U.K. by 4 hands, which in the past already have made transformers at Dagnall & Drake for decades.

I can't find much info about how to order, price, when it would be delivered, etc.
