dude....Whiplash is the Rocky of Jazz Drumming! One of my top movies ever. Though if I watch it now I would fast fw past the family scenes and get to the drumming and teacher interactions

ya'know its odd... i actually like the movie, (like you) the drumming/music scenes are very entertaining... the other stuff is just that; stuff. anyway.. i've seen it before, my daughter turned me on to it....and i liked it then. just don't see it as a 4* movie...my opine of course.

I will say this, which is maybe odd to some...but i cannot watch the movie with my wife in the room...way too much cursing. she doesn't like it, and that makes me uncomfortable, so i re-tune the idiot box out'a respect.

My sister got cancer 45 days before my marriage and I didn't stop to work and take care of all my costumers.
She underwent a new brain surgery 6 days before my son was born and I still have never postponed any work...

Different people are different. I value my family higher than you I guess. When my ex fiance had brain surgery, I took three weeks off to take care of her and support her.

When my mother had cancer I was young and my dad owned a large and successful restaurant. He ran the place. He took time off too. I always respected him for that and still do.

Different people have different values. My loved ones come first as long as my head is above water. Which has never been a problem.
"I value my family higher than you I guess.” You shouldn’t assume that everybody is in your situation and can afford to take three weeks off of work for ANY reason, even if it is to take care of a loved one. Three weeks without a paycheck could put some people in a hole real quick. And good for your father for owning a large and successful restaurant, and it's commendable that he took off to take care of your mom. If it was large and successful, I'm assuming that he had the staff to keep the restaurant open during this time? Still generating income for your father? And if it was large and successful, he most likely could afford to take the time off? That’s great if it was, but not everyone is so fortunate.

I took a few days off to balance the situation, but not months and not left anyone sole which I have dealt before the diagnosis.

If Larry has so much money why take money in advance?
Just use your brain once again, than the idea 'why' might creep up inside you by itself.
If not, then think about, why i.e. a company like Pacific Transformers (Anaheim/CA) is taking 100% payment up front by placing an order.
Is this a poor company? Do they have no money and almost no resources?

Perfect match for the matrix. The government likes people like you. Don't forget to life, at least a bit besides

and my work is way more complicated than soldering stuff where 2+2=4 always.
Everybody can learn to solder very quickly, even that guy who's baking burgers at McDumb.
And as everybody can see, my work isn't much more complicated than just this.
I'd never dare, to compare my work or even myself to your work or to you.
You've ever heard about the omnipotence syndrome?
Or simply try some coping strategies, to diminish backed-up frustration ;)

I couldn't find any decent clip. The ones I have seen were too compressed as Bogner and sounded as Reza's demos.
Let me guess, the amp has been the cause, because you... :D

Now I want a Larry 1U pre-amp (with MIDI)! n00b question but how it it be compared to a Mk1 ADA MP-1 on the OD channel?

I feel Larry should do a Q&A Youtube video to talk through stuff and allow others to respond with their evidence. Means he could walk us through his point of view and provide visual evidence. Having all these threads all over the place is messy.

I've never compared it to an ADA, but would be curious. It's the Nuno Bettencourt preamp, right?
But I've compared it to the Van Weelden Gainland preamp, trying to match EVH's tone (brown sound) - and have matched it spot-on with the preamp into the power stage of my Rock Wizard amp. Check the settings of both preamps, as they've sounded equal:

novosibir: If you really 100% feel your Intellectual Property has been infringed, you need to contact an attorney and see if there is anything that can be done (injunction on any of the Fortin amps being sold until determination can be had on the design, lawsuit, etc.) Talk on forum boards isn't the most efficient way to resolve this. You may even try reaching out on the phone and talking to Fortin personally -- it's amazing what a phone call can do.

engage guy: Severely unimpressed with your front-line influencer/public outreach skills. Too much emotion. You need to throttle down and respond professionally. Your responses look like a 4th grader's.

Ahh maybe this summer I will pop you an E-mail!

Here is the ADA MP-1 Mk1 opened up. It's basically a 1U hot rodded marshal sound. Also had a SS compressed clean and chorus built in. Very unique. Was used on early Mr.Big / late Racer X and Nuno. Also White Lion, Skid Row and Extreme! I'd love a modernized version of it. It's got alot of attack and has a liquid feel to it. Closer to a boosted JCM800 sound than a Plexis

Thank you for your comment, very appreciated.
I've already authorized an attorney a week ago in this concern and we're already 'in medias res' to figure out the best way to proceed.
Concerning what's going on or even details of what we're/he's doing won't go publicly anymore.

I'm a German and my English on the phone is too bad, being able to figure out something detailled. Too much I wouldn't understand or couldn't express quickly enough.
Writing here on the forum or emails aso is a different thing, since I can have my helper leo.org permanently ;)

Did you do it by ear and mod/go as you hear for your preamp unit or did you replicate the circuit somewhat?

No I didn't touch the circuit in any way.
This has happened on an local amp fest, where I even didn't know before, that someone is coming along with the Van Weelden preamp.

PS: I could't build an amp if I tried but I know enough to know there is more to it than just soldering 2+2=4

Hmm... is looking pretty close to the inside of my computer :)

Inside my preamp it's looking slightly different ;)
