One more thing [UNRELATED]. None of us have would have EVER heard of Monomyth without the clips he had posted. He is climbing his way up fast in my book.
Monomyth IS an up and coming.
Not a fan of the clips I’ve heard. I’d like to check one out in person but the clips aren’t grabbing me. At least his prices aren’t too spendy.
Eh to each his own but imho opinion my Monomyth modded 2204 absolutely smokes the Splawn Quick Rod and Nitro I had or the JJ jr I had for about two weeks. I sold my first Monomyth modded Superlead when I needed some extra cash after my car broke down. I grabbed a Friedman JJ jr. a few weeks later in hopes that would satisfy my modded Marshall itch but it really didnt hold a candle to the Superlead. So I started hustling to get another one pretty quickly after. The Monomyth amps are the first amps Ive ever owned where I was completely happy just plugged directly in. I can go from Alice in Chains/Mastodon stuff to Death Metal pretty easily.
*edit*
I will say this if he made his own amps based on the Black Sun with a Clean channel and a crunch I would buy and eat ramen for the next few months and be quite happy.
In the fall I may be due for a high dollar amp. It very well could be a Monomyth. I totally dig them. It's either that or a BE100. The BE100 is probably less likely of the two.
The JJ Jr. clips never impressed me. But I do like the emulation out concept.
I am not going to further derail this thread toward Monomyth out of respect for Larry (and Krull lol)
but Monomyth is going to have a solid future if he keeps this up, and if he evolves at the rate he has, he will be extremely successful. I hope to get my hands on one.
