penchant for detail - almost pathological, yes311splawndude":2r6x7674 said:It just appears to me that he has time, money and a penchant for detail
Correct and what means, that after I've placed my last solder joint, not as usual at other amp builders, who push in tubes, adjust bias, a quick test drive and ready for shipping - no, after the last solder joint the electrolytics become formed in a 36 hour process, then tubes are pushed in, but sometimes I spend a half day swapping tubes back & forth, since each preamp tube is sounding slightly different to the next - the amp will be fired up 6 to 8 times every day over the next 2 days - each time about 20 to 30 minutes test drive, followed by 2 hours fired up for burning in, listening to the background noise and sometimes the one or other preamp tube has to be swapped, if it starts strange noise after 6, 10 or 15 operating hours - after each 2 hours operating switching off & cooling down for about one hour - bias & voltages will be checked several times, to observe a possible output tube drift and many more... since my 'kids' should leave the house absolutely heathy311splawndude":2r6x7674 said:each amp is dialed in by him one at time.

I don't care much about what other amp companies are doing - it's their decision, to do this & that and to omit other things.Krull":2rx6rfrj said:I’m pretty sure almost every amp company in existence posts clips of their amp line.
