Sorry folks but you people make no sense. Customers want an amp in a timely fashion and that’s exactly what Fortin has been doing. They are doing it in the most cost friendly and economic way to get the amps out fast. Not 3 years and 500 excuses. You want that you know where to go.

You can claim Fortin stole an amp circuit all you want. It’s been done to death in the amp industry with countless examples. In the end the amps sound different somehow and people like the tone. The people buying it aren’t on these forums bitching. Only the people who aren’t buying it.

No matter how often Jennifer posts this and is shown to be wrong, it won't matter. She is on some crusade and thinks she knows something. It only flies on this forum, where there is no moderation, and her level of stupidity is tolerated. There is literally nothing fishy about Fortin at all, there are just 4 morons trying to spin everything they can, and despite getting utterly beaten in the other two threads they feel the need to keep posting nonsense that I have already addressed as if I haven't. It is just fine though, it keeps sending us customers and it keeps them occupied and convinced they are hurting us in some manner, which, in no universe, is anything of the sort happening. Larry on the other hand, has already been addressed as well. The circuits in question, as Mike posted 10 year ago on this very forum, are published in electrical engineering manuals and have been for decades.

Jennifer doesn't care about facts. Her tactics are to keep screaming the same shit I have addressed ad nauseam as if I haven't, in the vain attempt to keep hoping something sticks. Some woman that can't seem to function properly keeps posting nonsense that has been addressed ad nauseum as if it will suddenly change something if it keeps being posted. Mike posted about this 10 years ago with proof, larry keeps talking and 3 people that like to argue take his word for it over actual evidence. Larry threatens people, rips people off and says he will build an amp if he wants to, on his timeline and you have no say, and 2 people actually defend him. Meanwhile, Jennifer over here continues to post nonsense in defense of him, calling a small company that has delivered hundreds of amps and thousands of pedals with never a single issue, scammers. Unless you have proof that Larry was aware of Steve's passing and refuses to give the opportunity to complete the amp AND allow for the estate to pay the remainder for the amp, I don't see anyone ripped of at this point. I don't know the terms of the deposit, many are not refundable, this I don't know anyone outside of Steve's estate can speak with any certainty

Designing and building your own amps from the ground up as a single man operation takes time and money and a nominal deposit. Please point is to people that have blatently been ripped off by Larry. This would exclude missed timelines or excuses. I mean like fell off the radar and no amps in the works.



But hey that's a hard concept for someone who charges all money upfront for someone else to build other peoples designs.

Those of us that did actually know Steve and were friends with him heard him talk about it constantly. It wasn't his death that was the issue being discussed. It was that after years, Larry hadn't delivered him an amp,offered him a used one when Steve got mad, and then disappeared with his money and didn't answer any correspondence further. Steve literally warned people of it constantly, that Larry stole his money when he was alive. The only reason Larry has supposedly "been in touch to make things right" is because I got sick of his fake holier than though bullshit and called him publicly on it, to return the money he stole for the product he never delivered to Steve's wife. Steve brought it up himself constantly before he died, the fact that he died, is not the point. His posting saying that have been posted plenty too.

Since you're here and some of use are looking at the schematic from the gain channel on the Satan 50 somebody had a question: why the cathode follower as V1b to drive the gain controls? (assuming the version of the amp we're looking at is still a match for your circuit and you're willing to discuss).

Yep. Big difference IMO....Fortin has been selling amps that were his designs since 2009? Except we now know they were completely lifted from 2 of Larry's designs. Not even loosely based...straight up copied.
