Thats really all I can tell, but it sounded good. Its a bit outside our normal context of heavy here, but I can appreciate it.
It really dosent answer any questions for many of us who would love to hear a good clip of the amp at heavy settings, just seems like it would benefit you to have a killer clip out there now that some terrible ones are out in the wild, but I'm not in your shoes and don't claim to know anything about your business. You may be as busy as you want to be and that's not a bad place to be at all, most of us feel like hamsters on a wheel trying to make a living here in the states, so there is something to be said for that if it is indeed the case. As for your beef with Mike, in full disclosure, Ive known him a lot of years and have had multiple positive dealings with him, I can call him and ask him to build whatever we can dream up and he will do it at a profit, which I'm fine with. I know he has studied all the great amp circuits just as I am sure you have, so my question is how is this any different from the Trainwreck clone you built and sold? Did Ken Fisher ever call you and threaten you with a lawsuit? Or put up an insulting thread about you on a very public forum?
Your answer may be that you changed the circuit to what you thought was a better version, so it was not the same circuit, but it was cosmetically nearly the same and spoken of as being in the same vein as the original, but better, and I totally get that and have no problem with it, but it seems like a very similar situation to me. You made money from something somebody before you did, even if it was a slightly different and even better version, you made it work for you, Great!
Again, I have no problem with it, I suspect Ken dosent either, I'm just wondering how its different?
I have tried to stay out of this pissing match for 20+ pages, just asking an honest question, and looking for an honest answer outside the childish dick swinging that has taken up so much of this thread. I wish you all the success in the world

Another point of irony; for you to use the following marketing blurb with regards to Ken Fischer:
" with lead times up to four years due to his illness and inability to work on his amps. "

Given your own track record with regards to multiple year lead times and illness, I would get rid of *that* text as a 'selling point' towards an amp of your making.

You may say "well, that Wrecky is available for sale, no lead time". Sure, but it's still a bit in bad taste, don't you think?

It’s pretty interesting. The OP asks anyone if Larry’s build time quotes are accurate at 18 months, and Sblue proceeds to tell him “yep 18 months”

Then approximately 9 months later Sblue decides to resurrect the thread and cry about how he hasn’t received his other amp he ordered from Larry. At that point he also reveals that his first amp wasn’t in fact 18 months but 2 years wait.

Then miraculously the next day Larry shows up with his version of why he hasn’t completed the amp and is actually working tirelessly through the night working on it.

What a joke.

It really shouldn't take more than 10 days to build an amp once all the parts are in hand if you're a one-man show. At that rate, with weekend breaks, that's about 25 amps per year. With longer vacations, that's about 20 or so. No idea how long Larry's wait list is, but if there are 30-40 people on it at any given time, that's 1.5 - 2 years wait.

I agree. At that price point, you're just paying for jewelry. There's definitely a market for it, but IMO you're paying for OCD attention to detail, and the perceived cachet of the Larry name. Nothing leads me to believe that Larry amps have a magical sound to them, especially since there isn't even one decent clip out there. Never mind the fact that we all have different unique tastes, and what might sound like the most unbelievably awesome amp to one person, might sound like a complete fucking mess to someone else. The same can be said for any of the ultra-boutique amp builders. I will admit that I've heard some Wizard clips that sound really, really good, but still nothing magical that would make me want to spend $5-6k on an amp. My main amp is a Rivera Knucklehead II that I paid $750 CDN ($528 US) for (used of course), and I would put that up in a head to head shoot out against ANYTHING.

One other thing I will mention is that even if I was inclined to pay $6000 for an amp, I absolutely would not send that kind of money to an amp builder who engages in childish arguments on the internet.

You may build a great amp, and I say may because I have not heard any awesome clips or touched one (nor will I) but goddamn you are a shitty at running a business. If you didn't have this tiny cult followimg for some reason unbeknownst to me, you would have flopped long ago - and it's amazing you haven't. You are sure getting a lot of negative press.
