wasnt there a global cooling fear in the 70s?

Ya the plastics industry was being blamed for the atmospheric haze that was preventing the sun from warming the earth properly, propelling us into the next ice age. We had a couple record setting cold spells and snowfalls in WI at the time and so naturally everybody believed the BS

Then there was the hole in the ozone that was allowing the UV rays to fry areas of the earth, we were supposed to be on fire by now here in the Southwest. So they cost the AC industry and consumers billions of dollars by going to a refrigerant that doesn't work as good. Turns out the ozone hole was BS too, I want my R-12 AC back. Didn't here anyone say sorry either.

"Global warming" and "greenhouse gases" and "carbon offset" is just more of the same old BS and creative taxation by the government.

20F here in Michigan, I hope we don't get more lake effect snow.

I don't mind the cold so much its the 30MPH super cold wind that bugs me.....

its probably in the 50's today here in Mississppi. was in the low 30's the last couple days...it always goes up and down.

about Global Warming...its a possibility, but i doubt were gonna see anything in our lifetimes. the glaciers are melting, temperatures are rising...but ya know, i thought i read something that said all the planets in the solar system are warmer than normal. i dont think we caused GW on all the other planets! but the glaciers melting can have a really terrible effect on our planet...and im really worried about that! well just have to wait and see...we know so little about the earth and its changes...theres just no wat to know at the moment.

The core of this global warming issue comes from certain flaming individuals located in San Francisco, California.

So, your saying the formula would be
:gay: + :gay: = :emofag: :grim: or

I know we`ve been experiencing more extremes in our climate here in Oz.

We seem to be hitting record temperatures every month or so

Was 48c (118f) here the other day, it`s due to be around 100f and over here where i`m at for the next week :aww:

Yeah i guess it`s hard to know which is worse, the cold or the extreme highs, either way something is up with our climate down here. I`m not sure if it`s global warming or just cyclical, either way it`s quite noticable here.

What would be really scary is if the temperatures never had any sort of variation at all.

About 5 years ago in Turkey, I remember that it snowed in December. Then I we used to go out and play basketball outside with shorts & tshirt during February. Then I remember it snowed again at the end of March and beginning of May. Then it was super hot in June. Go figure.

I live in Norway, and it`s been raining all winter, with temperatures above 0c. In Norway. Now it`s below freezing point, but january usually gives us a lot of snow, and temps around -10 to -15c. I saw my green lawn on Christmas eve... I grew up with walls of snow 2 meters high....

Fuching lake effect bull snitch. :gethim: There must be something wronk with my car cuz every night when i get in my car to come home from work, there's a layer of frost on the INSIDE of my windshield. Seeing as how I drive a Cougar ( ) it's not that easy to scrape off. I hate Erie. The wind sucks major ass.

-30F. It was about -40F with the windchill yesterday.

Then again we always get 2 weeks of nasty arctic cold in January. It's the other side of the coin from how our summers get to 110F.
I know, I know, I'm a whining baby.

Al Gore can blow my nuts right about now. :D Actually might warm them up a little. I think it's close to 4 or 5 F in Erie at 3AM.

Earliest snow fall here(Dec.1st/PNW) in recent memory. We are usually lucky to have snow for Christmas, something tells me this year we'll be lucky to not have it for Easter :(

Tromsø, way north of the polar circle

Did you plant some orchids outside today, Knut?

Yep, they love the warm and humid environment we`ve got here

Olaf, where do you get the headshells for your amps? I seem to remember you mentioned some German builder..??

This has been one of the coldest and snowy-est ( if thats a word   ) winters in Iowa that I can remember. Poor Al Gore you little tool you, why dont you fly around the world in your personal jet a few more times and then see if you can figure out why 1938 was the warmest year on record not 1998 as once previously the UN lied to us about. Maybe if you can answer that you can win another nobel "peace" prize

Did you look at the pics I posted?
It`s not like what you describe everywhere. I`m not saying it`s related to global warming, but Northern Europe hasn`t been this warm in a long long time ;)

The webcam pics are from the area marked with black, by the red arrow. Pretty far north
