So the Twin Jet just has KT88s? Or is it a different circuit than the other Uberschalls?

Going by those mp3s I think I actually prefer the
SLO
Jose modded Marshall
Uberschall
Can't get the PT100 to play?

Awesome James! To say that this is EPIC is an understatement. The high-gain amp shoot-out is CELESTIAL!

Thanks so much for the hard work and the coordination. Simply amazing. I'm buying that CD with the sound files on it if you are going to offer that again.

Michael.

You own AND punch face...
Bruce shralping out the scarified riff and you belting out rainbow in the dark in reinholds face means you are now officially hung like a whaling vessel you stud!

And Dave Friedman is so cool for staying for the full onslaught to help. Marsha sounded great.

What was your fave? Your ears must be BAKED!

Dang, I really wish I could have been there. I did the the opposite of you guys. I spent 12 hours tracking a Blue Voodoo.

Did a Deliverance 60 not end up making it to the shootout? I didn't see a clip for it.

That's what you get for not showing up :-(

Big tone differences; also some amps were much better in preserving the guitartone instead of making them all sound more or less the same.

For me the 76 JMP, both the Soldano's, the new XTC, the Jose, the Tritone (! who had ever heard of that ?), the 5150 IIIwere the winners

BTW: is anyone else getting an img.com loginframe upon opening this page ?

The great thing about this shootout is that there is no winner, it's just a matter of taste.
There are so many great amps.

It's a great way for all the manufacturers to showcase their amps, and for us to hear all the amps in the same room, with the same mic, cab, guitar ...

Truly amazing work.

I love my VH4 to death, but I must admit that for the pickup/speaker/cab choice (which was GREAT) the Marshalls have a lead on everything else.

the Marshall Tremolo was my fav for sure. I also dug the Marsha a lot and the JCM800

I didn't see an Einstien did I miss it. Well I have to watch again. I watched at 4am Eastern so I skipped a bit.
This is great work. Props to that Audiozone amp builder that drove from Iowa with his Model 7. He's confident enough in his work to do that.

James this was monumental and I knew it would be an all nighter.
If you're doing CD's I'll get one as I'm sure many will.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. What a valuable resource for amp comparison. The SLO sounded pissed off.

What band is that with the "Around The World In 30 Days" song? The guy has a really good voice.
