Cool.
I never actually looked into this...
Cool.
Im with you Norm. Not that I can calculate this kind of math or anything. I failed algebra many times in my life. Trigonometry is beyond my wheelhouse.

Dude, it's curved. He was dancing downhill so he could just basically slide backwards without much effort. Try it sometime. Science bro!Is the Earth being flat the reason Michael Jackson could moonwalk so easily?
Gliding on flat terrain?
Thanks for sharing Norm. That's why it's 8 inches per mile squared. Because it's a ball, the calculated drop is exponential from the perspective of the person looking in a given direction.
1 mile=.67 drop
5 miles=16.67 feet of drop
10 miles 66.69 feet of drop
20 miles=266.75 feet of drop
50 miles=1667.17 feet of drop
So basically if I drive from North Austin to San Antonio or about 100 miles, the curve is about 6600 feet, of drop, over a mile. And then I turn around and go back and it's another mile of drop. In short, the conclusion is it's downhill both ways. When I jog down the road it's mostly uphill but thanks to earth curvature it's mostly a level jog if you believe "science". My legs tell me it's still an uphill run. My legs are science.
Ever since I learned about confirmation bias I've started seeing it everywhere.it's understandable to try and infuse your own "common knowledge" to something like this, but it doesn't make it right
Just so we’re clear, confirmation bias — or any sort of bias really — is only found in those who go against the “consensus.” In other words, if you toe the official line, you’re immune.Ever since I learned about confirmation bias I've started seeing it everywhere.

Does it concern you at all?Cool.

You’ve probably been doing it your whole lifeEver since I learned about confirmation bias I've started seeing it everywhere.
Guy swallows narratives like he's in an eating contest. Blind obedience. Even a dog thinks more independently.Just so we’re clear, confirmation bias — or any sort of bias really — is only found in those who go against the “consensus.” In other words, if you toe the official line, you’re immune.
If you are smart, yesBeating off ?

Damn science!Dude, it's curved. He was dancing downhill so he could just basically slide backwards without much effort. Try it sometime. Science bro!
I can see why your head hurts trying to think like a human because it actually requires more brain cells that you possess. It's a huge effort for you isn't it VonSoyBoy. It must be tough being one beer short of a six pack.If thumbsucker or anyone else is walking on a flat surface they are actually walking downhill even if they are a koala living in Perth. It can't be any other way. There can't be a curve and you not be walking downhill everywhere when the surface is "flat". Unless you're walking uphill. Really, there are no actual flat surfaces because even if a surface is technically flat, it is still downhill.
Therefore, a perfectly flat surface, an ice rink for example, would actually need a slight upward curve built into the floor to compensate for the downward curve. And yet ice rinks are made by applying water, which seeks level, and should therefore be level but ball earth science says it cannot be so, minus compensating for the curve when you built the slab beneath the ice rink. It's so damn ludicrous it makes my head hurt thinking about how damn dumb you gotta be to not see through this kind of contradictory bullshit. As I've stated before, a dumbass plow boy can see through it but smart people are buffaloed into stupidity by numbers, graphs, charts, and jerkoffs wearing lab coats.
