Is there ONE amp that you could get by with as your single amp?

Friedman jj , bogner ecstasy, probably a dr.z 6545

Or a good clean amp and some good pedals I suppose...
All that said, axe fx has killed my search for amps. So id probably prefer an axefx and a power amp or frfr

JMP Marshall modded into a DINO JM 731 was finished on Jul 24th 2006 and updated 1st time on Aug 26th 2010
The 2nd update was accomplished just before shipping me and set to Jon Schaffer voicing.
Good stuff!

Koch Supernova
Man I really want to try some of the Koch stuff.

For me it would be one of these:

• VHT 2/90/2 + RedSeven D100 Pre
• KSR PA100R + Soldano X88-IR
• Engl Smolski Sig amp

That Engl Smolski is surprisingly versatile. The Clean and Crunch channels are actually REALLY good, especially for being in a modern voiced Engl.

I want to test out a few more ksrs before deciding.

But I think I'd pick engl e670fe special edition. It's arguably their most versatile amp. Great high gain. Tube buffered effects loop. And tube driver channel. Sort of like a killswitch. Daniel from lichtlaerm in an interview mentions it when talking about his kills witch.

But tube driver channel It's for pedals or bluesier playing. Friedman be od almost maxed out it muah. Magnifico. Assuming I can take pedals with me...

KSR makes the best modern american voiced amps IMO, they are really really good

Dumble Dual Showman with Ultra-phonix mod. Not a high gain type amp, but the best sounding amp I've ever heard in my life. And with a little bit more gain than a 68 100w plexi, and a low end punch twice as big as a 66 JTM-45/100, I would live happy ever after if that's the only amp I had.

Currently own a ksr orion. Man does it does some damage. Been wanting a full size. Maybe artemis idk. If " lunchbox" sounds like that, I want to get the oversized behemoth.

But its a gift/curse. Orion does a good enough job. So I wind up getting something else. Might head to Ohio over the summer and see if they have some others I can plug into, real nice people.

I've been GASing for an Orion for a while now, every clip i've heard sounds absolutely massive for a lunchbox

I've been disappointed by a lot of lunchbox amps. Irks me I NEED to use an eq pedal so it doesn't sound as small.

Not an issue for Orion. I've seen them go for lik3 1200 used which is nuts to me. I love the sound and it's an amp i can also go a bit crazy on, really dialing with my ears not eyes and getting killer sounds.

My factory c+ DRG and 2x12 halfback would probably be my choice.

Gonna be honest, anything with a full clean channel, and a high gain channel that can clean up with the volume knob is all that’s really needed- I like my toys, but they are just that

I basically stumbled on my Mark IIC+ at a local guitar shop in 1999. I had no idea what it was, and they had it labeled as a IIB. I got it then for $800 CDN which at the time was $540 USD. Crazy.
Only later I called Mesa and gave them the serial number and they said, yep, that's a IIC+.
