James Tyler is a suppository of beautiful guitars

Not trying to brag but this is probably the greatest Rig Talk thread ever created. Imagine your wife makes you lunch for work. You get to the break room all hungry and excited to eat the gourmet sammich she has lovingly crafted. You dig into that rich brown colored paper sack and pull out your sammich, which is shaped like this:

Fortunately for you I think the Suhr and PRS headstocks are so damn ugly I am inclined to allow you to continue participate in this thread. Loving James Tyler takes time. Like an ugly wife who cooks well, everyone wants to sit at her table for dinner though she may not be the toast of the king size bed. Blessings to you Mr. Luminous.

LOL thanks for your understanding. Headstock shape is an important and touchy topic ! :ROFLMAO:

I'd appreciate it if you could remove "PRS" from your posts. That man doesn't belong in the same city as James Tyler. Amazing that some people rip on James Tyler but find a PRS headstock completely acceptable on a strat body. Un-flipping-real.
PRS Silver Sky, having 3 tuners per side, causes tuning stability issues when using the Tremolo Bar.

Well they have a nicer headstock than a Suhr but they make James Tyler's look affordable.

I think you guys live in an alternate reality with these prices. Or maybe that's just a so-cal thing or something.
You have to hunt around for a while and can sometimes find them for way better prices than what you’re probably seeing right now. Marchione’s are also made in Houston, TX fwiw, not So-Cal

I give my opinions of gear independent of what they cost. It’s too bad they’re overpriced, but still some of my favorite guitars I’ve tried. If I was forced to pick just one between the best ‘50’s Gibson’s and Fender’s I’ve tried vs Marchione, I’d pick Marchione fwiw. In a perfect world I’d have both. Those ‘50’s Gibson’s and Fender’s are also WAY more expensive and overpriced, but also some of the all time best guitars I’ve tried. It is what it is. Good stuff costs

Those are rich guy guitars for me so I'm just dreaming. I know a guy locally with a JT, maybe he'll let me touch it someday but I hesitate to axe him. I know if I had a genuine James Tyler I wouldn't want people to be axing me if they could put their dirty mitts on my babe.

I've always hated the headstocks but the finishes are great.

I really like that finish they do called Burning Water. It's really weird when you first see it but once you get used to it, grows on you and you start to love it.

love Tylers!
the headstock shape was never an issue to me and in fact symbolizes TONE imo😁
i remember digging into landau and huff tones and being intrigued by their ability to switch from the strattiest tones to les paul type crunch and fat non typical strat leads.

which led me to Tyler. and playing a particularly amazing neck’ed specimen set the hooks.
Aloha🤙🏽
