Laptops lost...headline festival gig cancelled!

Never been a fan of the tracks. I get it - trying to give the folks that pay money an experience similar to the recordings, but this is kinda sad.

I saw Def Leppard do this once...bass player stepped up to a keyboard on stage to play a part and the bass line kept going :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
 
Some serious hypocrisy here considering many of the "older" bands liked and shared on here run their sets off laptops and seem to get a pass. If some old fart from Whitesnake has a cough, the whole tour grinds to a halt.

Is it because these guys are in their 30s doing music that you don't like? I also disslike Falling In Reverse, but I don't let my IQ hover above room temperature and get emotional about them.

As as someone who builds and designs automated MIDI/lighting/patch rigs, I have no idea what politics has to do with this.

damn falling in reverse has 6.4 million monthly on spotify and songs with hundreds of millions of plays, had no idea they were that huge now

I think it's more about the fact that at one time in the music industry, if an act had a "technical difficulty", they would have soldiered on and done a stripped down version of a show if they possessed the talent to do so.
Attacking one's "IQ" in a response post and saying you don't get emotional about it is kinda contradictory
 
Surprised nothing was saved to the cloud and just downloaded to an iPad or something

No hypocrisy here at all, and nobody’s getting a pass. No fucks given if computers are used for whatever, in any capacity. But as was pointed out above, 6 million hits a month and you can’t show up and play a set of any sort even though you have two guitars, bass, drums and singer?? This is a put up or shut up situation, are you a band of musicians, or not?

Re: the old fart in Whitesnake (that founded the band, writes and sings all the songs) I agree that was lame to cancel when he got sick. Same with Dio, what a bunch of pussies....just because Dio died there’s no reason they shouldve canceled their tour.

I actually agree with you 100% on the first point, but my point was more the copy paste "new music sucks, kids suck, libtard, pussies," stuff. Folks who are projecting their opinions as objective, and have the arrogance to think the best music on earth conveniently manifested during their youth.... requires knocking down the IQ a bit haha.

What really is contradictory, is calling out my IQ joke, but holding none of the other brutal comments to the same standard.

What we all can agree on, is as artists, they should of plugged in and played some songs for their fans regardless. :rock:

I agree about the playing dude. I watched the Devi vid earlier and I was thinking to myself-why don't they just jam a little bit or do some covers. Just play something for fuck's sake.

I remember a really good musician that I looked up to telling me "Any great song can be played acoustically". I actually did not buy it at the time, but now, I realize it was true.
