ROFL modelers fail yet again!

Edit: Also living for all these roasts in this thread.

Someone get them menstrual pads so they can perform ffs.

Had nothing to do with modelers, just the laptops running their entire set.

How 5 fuckin’ guys on a stage can’t keep a beat and at least play the chord changes to their tracks is beyond me. I said this over on TGP, but I love a ton of bands that utilize the same elements but can get down without that shit if need be. In two of my previous bands we played to a click and had samples/loops/synths on tracks, but we sure as shit rehearsed without that stuff knowing we’d eventually run into a situation we couldn’t use them.

Every song these guys perform has a shitload of loops/effects/synths on the studio versions, or riffs that aren’t strumming chords, but they actually give a fuck about what they do and aren’t up there pretending their filming a music video-

I saw these Flailing In My Turds cunts at Rockville last november, I really wonder now how much they were actually playing live and how much was on a track. Just the fact that the drummer can’t keep a beat while the bass/guitars just play the changes under their hip hop tracks while the singer runs around and acts like the cuntrag he is makes me think 90% of their “performance” is on those tracks and they aren’t doing fuck all onstage.

I've only seen Sevendust on their first tour so it's been a long time. I knew Clint a little prior to that band so I knew they were going to be the real deal. They did not disappoint.

When i toured opening for Sevendust in 2009 i was a bit disappointed seeing Morgan's screams being sampled but they do rip every night. Lajon is an amazing singer every night even when he's sick.

I present to thee:

LOL! Considering it was early 90's, i'm betting it was ADAT, but I don't know for sure. I don't know how they did it back then.

Some serious hypocrisy here considering many of the "older" bands liked and shared on here run their sets off laptops and seem to get a pass. If some old fart from Whitesnake has a cough, the whole tour grinds to a halt.

Is it because these guys are in their 30s doing music that you don't like? I also disslike Falling In Reverse, but I don't let my IQ hover above room temperature and get emotional about them.

As a 30+ year old who builds and designs automated MIDI/lighting/patch rigs, I have no idea what politics has to do with this.
Politics have nothing to do with it, your correct on that point.

What the OLD farts here are pointing out, is that a real, “rock band” should be able to pull off a rock n roll live show without the computer bullshit.
I saw Kiss in 1977 at the cow palace. You think that wasn’t a “show”?
It was a fucking circus with loud music. No computers. No tracks, no click track. All human beings doing their jobs. God forbid.

Yes, Whitesnake, Kiss,
Motley Crue…. all these guys that are in their late 60’s/70’s now shouldn’t be degrading their legacy. It’s embarrassing. How much money do you need?

Got no problem with laptops and tech being utilized as long as the player/singer is actually playing and singing. Drummer is actually drumming etc. just like recording budgets are a thing of the past, so, I’m sure is things like meaningful tour support. So in comes tech to make what took a full road crew and specialized people happen for a crew of 3-4 people and a very tight tour budget. Plus, if what you release and what your fans like is a mishmash of rock, edm, hip hop and whatever else, you’re using samples and tracks and the fans won’t care because they get what they want. I agree with criticisms about backups etc and I’m 52, so prefer a real deal rock show myself but I’m also trying not to be the guy yelling at clouds too..lol ..and yes, the band musically blows goat nuts 😎

StrayKids or BTS would never let their fans down like this cuz they're the real !! 😏

My first Rush concert was at the Meadowlands in 1988 and it got pushed back two days at the last minute because Frank Sinatra was playing there the day before and his band's sheet music got lost in air freight.

That’s on the same level and also entirely different, but the same..... Drummer, bass, and other guitar player in our rock band also play in a band with a 5-6 piece horn section...they regularly need subs in the horns, but the defacto leader of that horn section is an ass hat and won’t accept any subs that don’t read charts, because you know everything is in the charts. Which is a shame because the guy that’s most often available, who also happens to be one of the most badass sax players in town, doesn’t read music, never has....and he’s a mind blowing improvisor. It blows me away that these people need the charts for the same fucking songs they’ve played near weekly for literal decades, absolutely shit themselves if the “chart book” is not there....hmmmmmm

Also, they don’t keep backups of this important shit? You could even keep your session in a cloud based storage and rent a laptop for the gig.
This 100%

It's like a back up guitar or a back up snare drum. You're headlining a festival you come prepared. I've never heard of this Failing in Reverse band either but if they are headlining, I'd bet there are people that bought tickets to see them. How disappointing.

Yeah, I REALLY wish he’d stop miming that shit. He’s been doing it for years now and it’s painfully obvious he’s doing it. I get it, that dude has beat the shit out of his body the way he plays, but just let the fuckin’ track play without the miming.

Clint’s a beast, man. I’ve seen a few clips of Still Rain or Steel Rain, whatever his old band was. Dude is one of my biggest influences and not even as a guitar player, but a songwriter. Those guys still play shows like it’s their first tour and it’s going to make or break their career.

Still Rain was before their time IMO. I was and still am a HUGE fan of that band. I saw them a ton of times and did a few gigs with them in the band I was in the mid 90s and everybody in that band were great guys. From the band to the crew.
