I remember those days, and they're long gone!! Many of my Mark IIIs were sub-1K. Now I think sub 2K is a deal. Essentially and historically, IIIs have tracked about 1/3 the price of an equitable IIC+.

when I'm in civilized areas; usually it's a backup for the 9 or 10mm. besides, my 380 has some nasty ammo in it (like my 9 and 10mm).

and, it's easier to carry than my S&W 500 mag :D

Theres a nice looking HRG on reverb for 10k, is that what these amps go for these days? I thought they was in the 13k range.

No doubt. I also enjoy the added challenge of carrying multiple weapons that in theory, could be used against me, but ultimately, never will.

Word. I quite like the 500. More than the 460. But my G40 is still my primary in the mountains.

There have been quite a few sell for 5 digits. Happy for those guys!

From my perspective as a player & gigger, not a collector, as soon as C+ prices are 5.5K and up in all honestly I'd happily take a RI instead. I have to look at them in terms of tone & feel relative to the price, which is where my comments earlier came from.

There's an ass for every saddle! In hindsight I think my 460 just wasn't a good example. It was more attractive than it was functional. The fine people at the S&W PC shop did a stupid thing & fitted it with a lightweight hammer that was a problem seeing as how the 460 uses a rifle primer that has a thicker cup. Plus, and this is hard for a man to say, it was honestly too long.

I personally wouldnt pay 10k or higher, but i guess thats the market for them, guys in other threads bitch how the reissue is too pricey and talk like you can buy the OG for a few thousand more, but i cant see myself spending 10 or 12k for it, i will get the reissue and since i never owned the OG i doubt i will be disappointed. I dont feel that $3500 is too much for the reissue when you compare it to the selling prices in todays market of the original. I dont care about the extra options and versatility of the VII because i only care about IIC mode and if the reissue gives me a closer sound to the OG i will be happy.

Okay, I can see why why you didn't like the 460. I didn't like that model either and agree with you; more form over function. I went with the one that was like the 500.

And isn't derailing threads with random posts the Rig-Talk way :LOL:

That looks like it will be difficult to conceal carry. :LOL:

just like my Uzi Pro pistol...no one makes a shoulder sling for it, so I carry in a sling bag. with a few 30rd mags.

I’ve shot for years and I still flinch, shooting .357 full loads.😑
9mm is more my comfort level. I guess I’m a wuss.

Maybe I need to get more rounds in each week!
