Getting ready to do a video comparison between this amp and my Quickrod.
I love both amps and each one has its strengths and weaknesses.
They are different enough to keep.
Quickrod:
Pros: Three gears, two OD characters, has the stringy, plexi ready to blow up feel and sound. Has the upper mid grind.... Has a Solo volume control. (I love this feature!)
Cons: clean channel is meh. Usable, but nothing gorgeous. It's only a two channel amp.
Mark III:
Pros: thick, juicy mids, nice clean channel, R2 is awesome now that I added the R2 volume control. R2 with a boost pedal is a killer sound. EQ let's you sculpt the tone to your needs.
Cons: reverb sucks IMO, I removed it completely from the signal chain. Shared tone controls, makes you compromise. But it does have a great Fender base tone.
