Marshall will launch a modded line of amps?

Oh yeah, we're on the same page. I'm just saying "modded", a term used by the user base, is usually done by someone else. Yenko modifications on Camaros, for example. Seems very odd and cliche to me for them to put a Modded stamp plate on their headshells that's all.

If it is a Dookie mod, then just call it the Green Day signature amp or the BJA sig?

whatev's - it won't be cheap. I'm happy for all of you that are happy
I'll be happy if it sounds sufficiently good, but that's no small ask for them lol. "Modded Marshall" has just I think become synonymous with things like the various Jose style mod's sound that all those popular modders have been doing even if some on paper aren't Jose mods, they still have a similar type of sound, so why not just make an amp that is just that from the get go. No additional mods needed

I don't know much about cars since I'm from the NYC area lol, but I'd imagine it would be something like having that given car brand come out with a model that already has those popular mods built in from the get go, but not my area of much knowledge at all

@braintheory - NP. I think it is cool that you are routing for Marshall. I gave up on them because they didn't listen and are now too late to the party.

Shhhhh keep that to a whisper please.
I wouldn't quite say rooting, mostly just very curious to see how they are whether I like them or not. We don't even really know what the product is going to be yet, but if it is a cool mod that could get away without any boost then that it could be cool and a successful product for them, but that's being optimistic in that they actually go that way

Maybe you'll have to buy the amp first then send it back to the factory for a mod.
"For extra 999.99$ you can now have your Marshall amplifier MODDED! No matter that you payed 2000$ for your amplifier itself already, this is something that you absolutely need!"

I can't take any Marshall product seriously until they can actually make their current offerings available to buy in the US. Current stuff is on backorder for a year. I'm supposed to get excited over something brand new that might be available in 1-2 years?

Marshall makes me think of Glock and their catch phrase: Perfection

Yeah, perfection. Right after you mod everything about it to make it sweet. Until then it's a cheap shell, and mass assembled cheap parts at a price that doesn't make sense for what it is. Sure, people love them, but perfect?

Weren't JCM 900 already Marshall's modded Marshalls?
First in line for that title would be the JCM 800 2205, 2210 in 1982.. But, they didn't get that circuit right until late 1986. Then, in 87 the Jubilee amps were the next modded from factory circuit. Next, 900s including the SLX. Then, DSL/TSL...KK, YJM, JVM...
I will say the KK is actually a killer amp...with a great noise gate that Fortin ripped off for the Zuul pedal. The KK I had, boost engaged and another bump from an EQ pedal was so good it chased away a Cam Aldrich I had. Paid all of 700 bucks for that KK too.

Isn't this what everyone has wanted and been saying Marshall should do for years? Looks like the finally may have listened. Gonna be hilarious if they actually delivers the goods since everyone has ragged on them lately. And if they bring it in at a good cost, that'd really be good lol. I hope they do!

For sure they have to be paying attention to all the stuff going on such as Jason and the Headfirst modded stuff

Imagine they start pumping out "jose mods" or whatever else they've got up their sleeve...maybe even artist endorsed mods...essentially a continuation of what @Racerxrated mentioned above with signature amps for kerry etc

and somehow they manage to do it all for like $2k...? dear god if only it could happen

don't have to be 100 watts...20 watt lunchboxes?!!
