Marshall will launch a modded line of amps?

For sure they have to be paying attention to all the stuff going on such as Jason and the Headfirst modded stuff
Or Friedman? They have to be aware that one of the biggest names in modern amps is based off of their product and regarded by a lot of players as better than their current offerings.

Base Marshall’s with extra options (gain, NFB, etc…) would be cool. I’ll never complain about having more options to choose from.

I think no matter what they come out with that’s “modded”, there will be others who take those even further with additional mods. So probably a win-win for everyone, especially us players.

Isn't this what everyone has wanted and been saying Marshall should do for years? Looks like the finally may have listened. Gonna be hilarious if they actually delivers the goods since everyone has ragged on them lately. And if they bring it in at a good cost, that'd really be good lol. I hope they do!
I'm certainly one of them who's been saying they should do this but other old cranky bastards on here insist that why should Marshall do it since we already have the JVM blah blah suck suck slobber slobber swallow.....

If this really is a tease of what we are all hoping for then I say FUCKING FINALLY and bring it on. It will be interesting to see how they can compete with the talented boutique builders we already have.

BUT...there's also this ⬇️
I can't take any Marshall product seriously until they can actually make their current offerings available to buy in the US. Current stuff is on backorder for a year. I'm supposed to get excited over something brand new that might be available in 1-2 years?

First in line for that title would be the JCM 800 2205, 2210 in 1982.. But, they didn't get that circuit right until late 1986. Then, in 87 the Jubilee amps were the next modded from factory circuit. Next, 900s including the SLX. Then, DSL/TSL...KK, YJM, JVM...
I will say the KK is actually a killer amp...with a great noise gate that Fortin ripped off for the Zuul pedal. The KK I had, boost engaged and another bump from an EQ pedal was so good it chased away a Cam Aldrich I had. Paid all of 700 bucks for that KK too.
the Randy Rhoads sig sounded great to me too

all angry feelings aside, what would be great is if Mark C. was hired by Marshall on a line of Atomica and Jose mods, allowing him to repay his unfulfilled customers as part of the contract. First 20(?) amp go to those guys.

don’t hate me…👼🏼

This is actually the best concept yet

Make some killer amps and provide some much needed public service. :dunno:

MC didn’t even honor the Tone Merchants/Rack Systems/Brad King, etc contract. As if Marshall would take on that kind of baggage.

What they gonna "mod" a Vietnam 800 w/Vietnam transformers ?
They don't even sell covers/casters/corners or spare parts. GTFO.
Never in a million years. You gotta make your own life happen.

Whatever this mod amp turns out to be will almost certainly be priced similar to their Plexi/JCM reissues (if not higher).

If they have some new circuit to compete/replace the JVMs then maybe that'll be sub-$2k...but anyone expecting any sort of Jose Mod to be less than $3k will be disappointed.
