Marshall will launch a modded line of amps?

no joke...how fuckin funny would it be if the line of modded products is:

Modded Marshall Amps...available in all flavors

1. "Cameron Mod"
2. "Friedman Mod"
3. "Wizard Mod"

lol because truth is stranger than fiction
They will have the option that you can buy it "modded" from the factory OR you can buy the amp from them, open it, and ship it back to them to pay for the mod to be done LOLLLLL.

I really hope Marshall does something amazing at a good price.

They should have done this years ago, keep their classic model line (SLP, 800, 900, DSL) line & offer factory modded versions of each. Maybe even different mods...e.g., JCM 800 - Mod 1, etc.

They allowed the creation of an entire modded Marshall boutique industry by doing little or nothing...huge opportunity lost. It's like IBM funded the creation of MSFT and others that ended up competing and winning against them.

IMO.

As a Marshall fan boy I have high hopes, but I'd bet a million bucks that nothing they come out with will sound better than an 800 and an SD-1. If they haven't improved on it by now, they never will.
Is there anything out there, that sounds better than a boosted 2203? If so, i haven't found it yet. :D

I believe Dave said they can be taken out of the circuit with that MV pull? :dunno:

Agreed though, I like the option, but want the ability to take them out.
I guess this is part of his new "Vintage"-Line of Amps?
I played the Double JJ. It was too grainy and transistory sounding in the JJ-Mode for me.

From the interview he did last night, I guess it's going to be a straight up tribute to Jose. I guess he isn't going to modify the circuits at all, just the switching he's improved on. It's going to have Jose's picture on the back with his signature, licensed through the Arredondo family.

Old single channel Marshalls in most part do one thing well in a dynamic way.
Having 25+ "Marshall" inspired amps seems a stretch.
Ive never been a fan of "new & improved" especially when there was nothing wrong in the first place.

My first Tube-Amp was a 100 Watt SLP-Clone. The first Amp i bought myself was a 1991 (or 92) SLP MK2 Reissue.I bought it in 1992. I used to use Channels 1+2 bridged with a Boss DS1 in Front of it. I also had a new 1991 Ibanez RG770 in red.
