I was a rack guy for 80% of my time playing but thanks to advances in technology, I can enjoy the benefits of MIDI powered rigs in the traditional head and pedalboard setup which I prefer. In the end, to each his own but I personally have no need for bulky racks and can accomplish alot of the same things without. Dont get me wrong, I think that theyre cool but they just arent for me anymore as Ive learned to do what I need without them..

Do you think I could get you to please remove your purist "plug straight in, statement", from a thread which CLEARLY isn't about that? I get that you probably just meant it in a harmless way, but I don't want those who would perhaps not be so friendly, to follow suit.

This thread seriously makes me feel inadequate...

I just figured for those into it, it'd be fun... AND as an added bonus-- it kind of is my way of telling the purists and pedals only crowd-- Racks aren't dead, and NEVER were.

Racks definitely aren't dead. My setup is entirely rack based cause I really like the plug in and go philosophy. Plus, I really just don't have any use for pedals.
